Day 257 – Motivation
Psalm 138:1 (A Psalm of David.) I will praise You with my whole heart; before the elohiym I will sing praises to You. 2 I will worship toward Your holy temple and praise Your name for Your lovingkindness and Your truth; for You magnified Your word above Your name. 3 In the day when I cried out, You answered me, and made me bold with strength in my soul. 4 The kings of the earth will praise You, O JEHOVAH, when they hear the words of Your mouth. 5 Yes, they will sing of the ways of JEHOVAH, for great is the glory of JEHOVAH.
6 Though JEHOVAH is on high, yet He regards the lowly; but the proud He knows from afar. 7 Though I walk amid trouble, You will revive me; You will stretch out Your hand against the wrath of my enemies, and Your right hand will save me. 8 JEHOVAH will perfect that which concerns me; Your mercy, O JEHOVAH, endures forever; do not forsake the works of Your hands.

Why do people listen to motivational speakers? They want to believe in their cause, to find something to believe in, to find the motivation to follow their dreams, to find the truth behind their life.
David not only prayed to JEHOVAH to help him in times of trouble, but he also motivated himself and Israel to follow JEHOVAH because He alone would arm them with strength and His mercy, revive their souls and give them something to believe in. David knew JEHOVAH’S mercy; he knew JEHOVAH would revive him and give him strength against his enemies. He knew JEHOVAH would complete everything that concerned him. David trusted in His strength, mercy, and the salvation of his soul.
When you read Yeshuwa’s Word, does it motivate you, arm you with strength for the battle, give you something to believe in when Satan comes against you? If not, you’re not spending time with Yeshuwa in His Word, in prayer, Bible study, or with other believers to gain encouragement.
Christianity is not something you do alone. You need others to help you and keep you motivated to spend time with Him and see Yeshuwa’s strength in your life. Yeshuwa saved your soul. However, it doesn’t stop there. You need to open Yeshuwa’s Word and trust Him to lead you to safety and keep His promises to defeat your enemies.
David motivated Israel to trust JEHOVAH with their lives, to believe in His promises, and give them strength for the battle. Yeshuwa will do the same for you. You only need to trust Him to do what He promised. When you do, you will see Him perfect or complete everything in your life that concerns you.
What battles are you facing? Where is your strength? Trust and lean on Yeshuwa and He will lead you in the way everlasting.
Proverbs 3:5 Trust in JEHOVAH with your whole heart and lean not on your own understanding; 6 In everything acknowledge Him, and He will direct your paths.
Let’s pray: Father, thank you for sending Your Son to save me and make me Your child. Help me to lean on You in everything I do and trust You to keep me safe from Satan’s schemes against my soul. Nourish me with Your Word and give me strength to meet each day. In Jesus’ name, I pray. Amen.
