When natural disasters hit and storms destroy everything a person has, it’s hard to start over from nothing. I’ve never faced that situation. However, if I lost everything in my life, there is one thing I could never lose and that is my faith in Jesus. I would rely on Him to help me start over. His Word promises to give me everything I need. I hold onto His promises for my life, health, and safety.
You might tell yourself, yeah, but she never faced losing everything. No, but I have had my home destroyed by vandals. In that moment, with tears streaming down my face, I cried out to Jesus. I told Him everything belonged to Him. How would He help me through the destruction I came home to. He answered my prayer and for the next several weeks, people I didn’t know helped me clean up the mess.
No matter what I face in life, I look to Jesus.
