Day 261 – Trouble
Psalm 142:1 (A Contemplation of David. A Prayer when he was in the cave.) I cry out to JEHOVAH with my voice; with my voice to JEHOVAH, I make my supplication. 2 I pour out my complaint before Him; I declare before Him my trouble. 3 When my spirit was overwhelmed within me, then You knew my path. In the way in which I walk they secretly set a snare for me. 4 Look at my right hand and see, for there is no one who acknowledges me; refuge failed me; no one cares for my soul.
5 I cried out to You, O JEHOVAH: I said, “You are my refuge, my portion in the land of the living. 6 Attend to my cry, for I am brought low; deliver me from my persecutors, for they are stronger than I. 7 Bring my soul out of prison, that I may praise Your name; the righteous will surround me, for You will deal bountifully with me.”

What did you do when you felt like everyone was against you and you had nowhere to turn? Many people have confidantes. However, who do you turn to when you can’t trust your confidante?
David looked to only one person for help, JEHOVAH. He knew JEHOVAH was the only person to help him out of his many troubles. Especially, when his enemy was his king who sought to kill him.
Christians face the same troubles as non-Christians. As David’s trouble came from his king, someone he should have been able to trust, often your trouble comes from other believers who are ready to strike you down. In those times, the only place you can turn is Yeshuwa. When everyone else fails you, He never will.
What troubles do you face? Take it to Yeshuwa and lean on Him for His help. He will make a way.
Let’s pray: Father, You know the troubles I face. You know my heart and everything about me. Help me, Lord. In Jesus’ name, I pray. Amen.
