Day 263 – Praise
Psalm 144:1 (A Psalm of David.) Blessed be JEHOVAH my Rock, who trains my hands for war, and my fingers for battle— 2 my lovingkindness and my fortress, my high tower and my deliverer, my shield and the One in whom I take refuge, who subdues my people under me. 3 JEHOVAH, what is man, that You take knowledge of him? Or the son of man, that You are mindful of him? 4 Man is like a breath; his days are like a passing shadow. 5 Bow down Your heavens, O JEHOVAH, and come down; touch the mountains, and they will smoke. 6 Flash forth lightning and scatter them; shoot out Your arrows and destroy them. 7 Stretch out Your hand from above; rescue me and deliver me out of great waters, from the hand of foreigners, 8 whose mouth speaks vain words, and whose right hand is a right hand of falsehood.
9 I will sing a new song to You, O Elohiym; on a harp of ten strings, I will sing praises to You, 10 the One who gives salvation to kings, who delivers David His servant from the deadly sword. 11 Rescue me and deliver me from the hand of foreigners, whose mouth speaks lying words, and whose right hand is a right hand of falsehood— 12 that our sons may be as plants grown up in their youth; that our daughters may be as pillars, sculptured in palace style; 13 that our barns may be full, supplying every kind of produce; that our sheep may bring forth thousands and ten thousands in our fields; 14 that our oxen may be well-laden; that there be no breaking in or going out; that there be no outcry in our streets. 15 Happy are the people who are in such a state; happy are the people whose Elohiym is JEHOVAH!

Do you find days when the only thing you want to do is sing? Your life seems like it’s going well. Your problems either disappeared or they are manageable.
David praised JEHOVAH and showed who He was to him, Rock, teacher, full of lovingkindness, a fortress, high tower, his deliverer, shield, refuge, subduer, destroyer, his Savior, and rescuer. He saw everything JEHOVAH did for him, subduing his enemies, even destroying them. The only thing David could do was to sing praises to Him. His flocks and herds, children, everything he possessed prospered, and he asked the question, “What is man that you take knowledge of him or the son of man, that you are mindful of him?” Nothing compared to the greatness of his Elohiym.
JEHOVAH did the same thing for you when He sent Yeshuwa to save you from Satan’s bondage. He freed you, subduing your enemy and giving you everything you need to prosper in your life. For everything He did, do you praise Him? Or do you take everything you have in Him for granted as your right because you’re a Christian? When you become complacent about your life in Yeshuwa, Satan will come in and trouble you. You need to give praise to Yeshuwa every day for the many gifts and blessings He gives you daily.
David continually blessed and praised Elohiym for His goodness to him. He did not take his life for granted. He turned to JEHOVAH every moment of every day and JEHOVAH prospered him.
You have many reasons to praise Yeshuwa. Praise Him right now because you are alive to enjoy His many blessings. Yeshuwa will not withhold His blessings from you when you praise Him.
Let’s pray: Father, let my praise come before You every moment of every day. Let me worship and praise You for the many blessings You give me daily. You and You alone are worthy of my praise. I worship You, Father. Let me find grace and mercy in You. In Jesus’ name, I pray. Amen.
