I know for my faithful followers, you missed this daily post. So, what have I been up to for the past two weeks. Yes, I’m on day 14 of my 40 day fast. I took a break today and came to see what you’re all doing. I missed you.

In the past fourteen days, I learned that my bread and water food fast wouldn’t and didn’t work. I got completely bound up. So, I needed to put regular food back in my diet. I’m still off the Internet 98% of the time. I’ve used the Internet for research only for my book.

I have a lot to be thankful for. I’ve had daily blessings and I kept track of them. The most important blessing came by way of the woman who lives down the hall from me. Things went bad fast, and I have a temper. It was in full force. She came by yesterday and everything is right again. I’m not ready to call her friend yet, but it will come. I need to trust.

I’m also thankful for the scale. I’m tracking everything I’m eating and I’ve lost 12 pounds in the last two weeks. I am so thankful. It comes down a little bit every day. Which makes me very happy!

I’m thankful for my children. I’ve talked to my daughter three times in the last two weeks. I’m blessed. Her birthday is this month and she’s going to provide me a link for the person she goes to for a day spa treatment. I did that last year too and she loved it. My granddaughter’s birthday is also this month. Next Friday. I asked her what she wanted. She’ll have it on Monday. Children are so precious no matter how old they are. I also talked to my son several times in the last couple of weeks. I spent one day with him and had a wonderful day.

I’m thankful I turned on the heat before winter started to find out I don’t have heat. They need to order a part. So though it’s a might cold in here, it will be fixed before winter sets in.

I’m thankful my back is feeling a lot better. I’m healed from the falls I took last month and walking every day I can, weather permitting on the trail. Today, for the first time since August, I walked two sections of the trail. Life is good.

I’m also thankful for the work I did on Firestorm. It’s coming along well. I signed up today for the November Novel 50K word challenge. Hopefully, I will have Firestorm finished by the end of November. I can usually write more than 80K words in the challenge. That will put me over 100K and close to finished by the end of the month.

Okay, that’s the highlights of the last two weeks. I will be back on November 1st to do the daily thankful post. I will be almost done with the 40 day challenge at that point. I’m getting a lot of reading done. Not only writing.
