Day 269 – Praise
Psalm 150:1 Praise YAHH! Praise El in His sanctuary; praise Him in His mighty firmament! 2 Praise Him for His mighty acts; praise Him according to His excellent greatness! 3 Praise Him with the sound of the trumpet; praise Him with the lute and harp! 4 Praise Him with the timbrel and dance; praise Him with stringed instruments and flutes! 5 Praise Him with loud cymbals; praise Him with clashing cymbals! 6 Let everything that has breath praise YAHH. Praise YAHH!
God’s names:
YAHH – Sacred name, Jah the Lord
El – Strength, Mighty, Almighty God
Yeshuwa – Jesus
Kurios – Supreme Authority
Christos – Anointed One, Messiah
God’s character:
Sovereign
Greatness
Every day you hear people sing the praises of their favorite celebrity, friends, and people they admire. They gush over them like the most important person alive.
The psalmist told the people to praise (halal) El for everything He did, and not only people, but also everything that has breath in it, everything in creation.
What would your life be like if you woke up every morning praising Yeshuwa for what He does for you? What would your life be like if you did it every day? You would be happier. The joy of Kurios would be in your life every moment of every day. With His praise on your lips and in your heart, Yeshuwa would help you out of every trouble. Satan couldn’t come near you. Doubt would leave. Every debilitating emotion would flee with Satan. You would experience the freedom of life in Yeshuwa Christos.
John 10:10 “The thief does not come except to steal, and to kill, and to destroy. I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly. (NKJV)
What are you waiting for? Praise Yeshuwa right now for everything he does for you. Employ every form of praise mentioned plus one more, Barak which means to kneel, to salute, to thank.
When you use the seven forms of praise every day, Yeshuwa will cause joy to shine in your life like a beacon. People will see it and want to know what makes you happy and joyful.
Do what the psalmist said and use every instrument, including your voice, lifting your hands in worship, and bow down with your eyes not to the ground but looking at Yeshuwa. Reverence Him for who He is, holy, the one who sacrificed His life so you could be with Him for eternity. He is the only one worthy of praise.
Let’s pray: Father, I worship You and give You praise for You redeemed my life from destruction. You crown me with glory and honor for Your name’s sake. What can I do more than praise You for everything You do for me? Let Your praise always be on my lips and in my heart. In Jesus’ name, I pray. Amen.
