Day 276 – Seduction
Proverbs 7:1 My son, keep my words, and treasure my commands within you. 2 Keep my commands and live, and my law as the apple of your eye. 3 Bind them on your fingers; write them on the tablet of your heart. 4 Say to wisdom, “You are my sister,” and call understanding your nearest kin, 5 that they may keep you from the immoral woman, from the seductress who flatters with her words.
6 For at the window of my house I looked through my lattice, 7 and saw among the simple, I perceived among the youths, a young man devoid of understanding, 8 passing along the street near her corner; and he took the path to her house 9 in the twilight, in the evening, in the black and dark night. 10 There a woman met him, with the attire of a harlot, and a crafty heart. 11 She was loud and rebellious; her feet would not stay at home. 12 At times she was outside, at times in the open square, lurking at every corner. 13 Thus, she caught him and kissed him; with an impudent face she said to him, 14 “I have peace offerings with me; today I paid my vows. 15 Then, I came out to meet you, diligently to seek your face, and I found you. 16 I spread my bed with tapestry, colored coverings of Egyptian linen. 17 I perfumed my bed with myrrh, aloes, and cinnamon. 18 Come, let us take our fill of love until morning; let us delight ourselves with love. 19 For my husband is not at home; he went on a long journey; 20 He took a bag of money with him and will come home on the appointed day.” 21 With her enticing speech she caused him to yield, with her flattering lips she seduced him. 22 At once he went after her, as an ox goes to the slaughter, or as a fool to the correction of the stocks, 23 till an arrow struck his liver. As a bird hastens to the snare, he did not know it would cost his life.
24 Now therefore, listen to me, my children; pay attention to the words of my mouth. 25 Do not let your heart turn aside to her ways, do not stray into her paths; 26 for she cast down many wounded, and those who were slain by her were strong men. 27 Her house is the way to hell, descending to the chambers of death.

God’s character:
Wisdom
Prostitution is illegal in every state except Nevada in the US. Maine also decriminalized sex in 2023. However, it’s alive and well in every major city across the nation. Exotic dance clubs flourish on streets across the country. These dens of iniquity ply the wares of women without remorse. Prostitution has a long history dating back to the earliest days of mankind. It is the oldest profession.
Solomon knew the wiles of women. He had 300 wives and 700 concubines. Who better to advise his children about what to stay away from than someone who knew the trade intimately and how it would destroy the soul. Solomon told his son to stay away from women who openly displayed harlotry because it would destroy his soul.
Harlotry isn’t confined to people. You find harlotry mentioned in relation to idol worship. JEHOVAH mentioned many times throughout Scripture that His people played the harlot with the nations surrounding them who worshiped false elohiym.
Solomon told his son to show wisdom when he saw women in the role of a harlot and stay far from her.
Paul talked about how people acted like a harlot.
1 Corinthians 6:15 Do you not know that your bodies are members of Christos? Will I then take the members of Christos and make them members of a harlot? Certainly not! 16 Or do you not know that he who is joined to a harlot is one body with her? For “the two,” He says, “will become one flesh.” 17 However he who is joined to Kurios is one spirit with Him. 18 Flee sexual immorality. Every sin that a man does is outside the body, but he who commits sexual immorality sins against his own body. 19 Or do you not know that your body is the temple of the Hagios Pneuma who is in you, whom you have from Theos, and you are not your own? 20 For you were bought at a price; therefore, glorify Theos in your body and in your spirit, which are Theos’.
Satan will do whatever it takes to draw you away from Yeshuwa and your faith. He will tempt you with the lust of the eyes, the lust of the flesh, and the pride of life until you no longer feel remorse for your behavior against Yeshuwa.
Be careful to read your Bible, align yourselves with other Christians who can pray for you to remain strong in your faith, pray often, memorize Scripture so that when Satan brings temptation your way, you can tell him to flee because greater is He that is in you than he who is in the world. Start your day in the Word and end your day in the Word. Put on the whole armor of God so you can withstand the wiles of the devil, and he will flee from you.
2 Timothy 2:15 Be diligent to present yourself approved to Theos, a worker who does not need to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.
Psalm 119:11 Your word I have hidden in my heart, that I might not sin against You!
James 4:7 Therefore, submit to Theos. Resist the devil and he will flee from you. 8 Draw near to Theos and He will draw near to you. Cleanse your hands, you sinners; and purify your hearts, you double-minded.
1 John 4:4 You are of Theos, little children, and have overcome them, because He who is in you is greater than he who is in the world.
1 John 2:15 Do not love the world or the things in the world. If anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him. 16 For all that is in the world—the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life—is not of the Pater but is of the world.
Satan hates it when you memorize Scripture, pray, and spend your time in fellowship with other believers. He will try hard to break your bond with Yeshuwa, but he will fail when you stay faithful to Him.
Let’s pray: Father, help me to remain faithful to You when Satan tempts me with worldly lust. Keep me strong in You so I will not sin against You. Let Your Word fill my mind and heart so I can quote Scripture back to Satan when he tempts me and see him flee from me because You are greater in me than he is in this world. Let me have Your mind and heart in everything I do and speak. In Jesus’ name, I pray. Amen.
