Day 283 – Blessings

Proverbs 10:6 Blessings are on the head of the righteous, but violence covers the mouth of the wicked.

God’s names:

Yeshuwa – Jesus

JEHOVAH – Self-existent, Eternal

Christos – Anointed One, Messiah

Iesous – Jesus

Theos – Supreme Divinity

Pneuma – Violent Wind, Breath, Spirit

God’s character:

Blesser

Everyone wants good things in their lives. Yet it seems far off when they live in perpetual crises. People will look at how others seem to have everything, living a good life, while they wallow in unending trouble.

Solomon saw how those who feared JEHOVAH received blessings from Him, while those who lived for themselves saw only trouble.

Do you remember what your life was like before you became a Christian? Do you remember the trouble, pain, heartache that seemed unending? What about since you accepted Yeshuwa as Savior and Lord? Do you still see trouble with nothing changed? Or do you experience Yeshuwa’s blessings in your life?

When you accepted Yeshuwa as Savior and Lord, you committed to changing your life, to putting away those things that kept Yeshuwa’s blessings away from your doorstep. Did you?

Solomon said blessings are on the head of the righteous. You can’t have blessings if you continue in your sinful lifestyle.

What do you need to do to receive Yeshuwa’s blessings? You need to change. It can’t be a change of words only, but you need to break from your sinful lifestyle. Turn your back on it and embrace the blessings Yeshuwa wants to give you. You need to spend your time in Bible study. You can’t know Yeshuwa’s heart, if you don’t open your Bible and read it.

2 Corinthians 5:17 Therefore, if anyone is in Christos, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, everything has become new.

Ephesians 4:20 However, you have not so learned Christos, 21 if indeed you have heard Him and have been taught by Him, as the truth is in Iesous: 22 that you put off, concerning your former conduct, the old man which grows corrupt according to the deceitful lusts, 23 and be renewed in the spirit of your mind, 24 and that you put on the new man which was created according to Theos, in true righteousness and holiness.

2 Timothy 2:15 Be diligent to present yourself approved to Theos, a worker who does not need to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.

You need to attend church so you can give and receive encouragement from other believers and hear the Word Yeshuwa gives the minister.

Hebrews 10:24 Let us consider one another to stir up love and good works, 25 not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as is the manner of some, but exhorting one another, and so much the more as you see the Day approaching.

You need to pray always and everywhere, not only for your needs, but those of others.

Ephesians 6:18 praying always with prayer and supplication in the Pneuma, being watchful to this end with perseverance and supplication for the saints— 19 and for me, that utterance may be given to me, that I may open my mouth boldly to make known the mystery of the gospel,

1 Thessalonians 5:17 pray without ceasing, (NKJV)

When you do this, you will receive Yeshuwa’s blessings, and people will wonder why you seem blessed, and they aren’t. Let your genuine lifestyle point them to Yeshuwa. Then they will know Yeshuwa’s blessings in their lives also.

Let’s pray: Father, let Your blessings fill my life as I present the gospel of Your Son by my lifestyle. Keep sin away from me, corrupting my life, and showing the world there is nothing different about me. Let my life point to You in everything I do. In Jesus’ name, I pray. Amen.
