Day 287 – Truth

Proverbs 10:10 He who winks with the eye causes trouble, but a prating fool will fall.

God’s names:

Yeshuwa – Jesus

JEHOVAH – Self-existent, Eternal

Elohiym – Supreme God

Theos – Supreme Divinity

Christos – Anointed One, Messiah

Kurios – Supreme Authority

God’s character:

Judge

People call them con artists. They try to sell you something they either don’t have or doesn’t work. They smile a lot and wink with their eyes to convince you they’re on the level. Another person who will try to make you believe everything they say is the boastful person who claims they did things they never tried.

JEHOVAH has already judged such people. Their eternal destination is eternal separation from Him.

As Christians, you need to be careful about what you listen to, especially when it comes to the Word of Elohiym. You need to carry your Bible with you everywhere you go so you can back up with Scripture what you hear from those who preach the Word, teach it in Bible studies, or spout things they claim are in the Bible but aren’t. Those kinds of people are prating fools. They claim they know the way to heaven but never decided to follow Yeshuwa with their entire heart, soul, mind, and strength.

When you spend your time in Bible study daily, opening Yeshuwa’s Word, reading it, studying it, and attending Bible studies, you will know whether what you hear is the truth. You will also know whether the person made Yeshuwa his Savior and Kurios. You will hear the truth or error in what they say.

2 Timothy 2:15 Be diligent to present yourself approved to Theos, a worker who does not need to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.

How much time do you spend in Bible study and prayer? Do you go to church and sit under a man or woman of Theos who knows the inerrant Word of Theos? If so, you will never be persuaded to listen to false doctrine or believe it.

Yeshuwa said, “You will know the truth and the truth will set you free.”

John 8:32 “You will know the truth, and the truth will make you free.”

Isaiah told the people to believe the report of JEHOVAH.

Isaiah 53:1 Who believed our report? To whom has the arm of JEHOVAH been revealed?

When you read and study your Bible, you will know whether what you see and hear is the truth. Walk away when the person tries to sell you a different gospel.

Paul came up against people who listened to false doctrine.

Galatians 1:6 I marvel that you are turning away so soon from Him who called you in the grace of Christos, to a different gospel, 7 which is not another; but there are some who trouble you and want to pervert the gospel of Christos. 8 However, even if we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel to you than what we have preached to you, let him be accursed. 9 As we said before, so now I say again, if anyone preaches any other gospel to you than what you received, let him be accursed.

There is only one destination for those who preach a false gospel, Hell. Walk away from such people and don’t listen to the lies and find yourself on the path of destruction with them.

Matthew 7:13 “Enter by the narrow gate; for wide is the gate and broad is the way that leads to destruction, and there are many who go in by it. 14 Because narrow is the gate and difficult is the way which leads to life, and there are few who find it. (NKJV)

What do you believe? Can you back it up with Scripture? Don’t believe everything you read or hear without backing it up first.

Let’s pray: Father, give me a discerning heart when I hear Your Word preached. Let it resonate with my soul. Keep me on the narrow path leading to salvation. In Jesus’ name, I pray. Amen.
