Day 290 – Wisdom

Proverbs 10:13 Wisdom is found on the lips of him with understanding, but a rod is for the back of him devoid of understanding.

God’s names:

Yeshuwa – Jesus

Kurios – Supreme Authority, Lord

Christos – Anointed One, Messiah

Theos – Supreme Divinity

Soter – Deliverer, Savior

Iesous – Jesus

Hagios Pneuma – Sacred, Holy, Violent Wind, Breath, Spirit

God’s character:

Wisdom

You have both seen and heard them. You wonder about their upbringing for them to speak such nonsense. You avoid them, knowing nothing good will come of an association with them.

Solomon had one remedy for people devoid of understanding, the rod.

When you accepted Yeshuwa as Savior and Kurios, you accepted His wisdom and understanding to walk the Christian life. If you didn’t belong to a church, you sought one. If you didn’t belong to a Bible study group, you sought one.

However, many Christians are like the person devoid of understanding. They continue in their old ways, believing they can claim Christianity and live the old life. It doesn’t work that way.

2 Corinthians 5:17 Therefore, if anyone is in Christos, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, everything has become new.

You need to put off your old man that led you along the wrong path leading away from life, and take on the new man, leading to eternal life.

As soon as you accept Yeshuwa as Savior and Kurios, Satan will do everything he can to keep you in your old ways. He will keep you from understanding what your new life in Yeshuwa should look like. He will keep you away from church, Bible study, and prayer.

Titus 3:4 When the kindness and the love of Theos our Soter toward man appeared, 5 not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to His mercy He saved us, through the washing of regeneration and renewing of the Hagios Pneuma, 6 whom He poured out on us abundantly through Iesous Christos our Soter, 7 that having been justified by His grace we should become heirs according to the hope of eternal life.

When you lived in the world, devoid of understanding, you didn’t have hope. You needed to take on the wisdom that comes only from Yeshuwa and His love for you when He died on the cross for your sins. His understanding will lead you to a church where the gospel of Iesous Christos is preached. He will lead you to a Bible study where you can learn more about your new life in Yeshuwa. He will cause you to pray, your greatest weapon against Satan. It takes wisdom and understanding to live the Christian life and not become ensnared by Satan’s temptations.

Don’t let Satan deprive you of understanding. Put on the new man and become regenerated in the life of Iesous Christos.

Let’s pray: Father, give me Your wisdom and understanding so I will know when Satan comes to tear down my life in You. Help me destroy his work in my life as I embrace my life in You. In Jesus’ name, I pray. Amen.
