Good evening from Green Bay, Wisconsin. Another pleasantly cold day here. I’ve been wearing a smile all day. There’s snow in the forecast for Saturday and again next Tuesday. So far, the only change that came was to eliminate Sunday from the snow forecast. I’m still hoping it won’t change any further. One thing you should know about me is how much I LOVE snow.

I just finished a 40 day fast, and promised to tell you all about it when I completed it. I am so blessed. My fast was not a food fast, but a fast on the Internet and television, two of my biggest addictions. I started watching television when I was three years old when my parents bought their first television. When I got my first computer several years before I published my first book, Scarred, I found the Internet and all the rabbit holes one could go down. Then someone introduced me to blogging. The more I was on the Internet, the less I was writing. Forty days ago, the Lord told me to go on a fast.

The blessings were daily. I didn’t write them all down. I started to, but the one that blessed me the most was talking to my daughter for over an hour. I also spent time with my younger son. I also lost weight. I kept a daily weight journal for the past forty days. I lost 14 pounds, twelve right away.

The last week was the hardest. I wanted to turn on the television every night. Instead, I went to bed early and started getting the amount of sleep I needed. Until I started the 50K challenge. Now that I’m in writing mode, I’m getting as much sleep as I always get in writing mode – six to seven hours a night. More like six.

Today was a good day. I saw my chiropractor this morning. She could tell I needed the tuneup. I’ve been walking more than usual, and my neighbor and I did a lot of shopping on Monday. I could barely walk on Tuesday, but I was writing, so taking it easy on Tuesday was easy to do. I didn’t go to Bible study and my hair appointment was canceled, so it was a good day with only Writer’s Guild.

I just finished my writing for the day. I now have 13K+ words. Tomorrow I’ll get the 15K badge. I’m writing at least 2K + words today. Today’s total was 2300+ for which I’m very thankful.

I’m also thankful for a wonderful game of Samba today, a version of Canasta. We had lots of laughs and a good time. Then it was back to the computer to get the last thousand words written.

I’m also thankful for the time I was here with you, connecting with you again. It’s so good to know what’s going on in your world. I feel like I’ve missed a lot here too. Well, I’m back!

That’s my day and a recap of the last forty days. What are you thankful for today? Let me know in the comments below. Thanks for reading. The image belongs to me.
