What was your favorite subject in school?

I loved school. I did well in some subjects and not so well in others. It might surprise you that English was not one of those subjects I excelled in. However, spelling was. Still, it wasn’t my favorite subject.

I attended parochial school for the first eight years of my school life. My favorite subject was religion. I got A’s in it throughout my grade school years. I also got an A in spelling. My worst subject was math. English was a C.

When I went to college, my math improved from an F to a B. I worked one on one with the math lab teacher. I needed to. I was an architectural student and needed to know all the ometries and algebra. I also got an A in physics.

When I accepted Jesus as my Savior and Lord, I began to use what I learned in grade school when I started writing with the goal to become an author. I needed everything I learned in school. I’m a typo freak. I hate typos. Am I a perfect speller, not by any means. I get tripped up by those sound alike words with different spellings. As a Christian author, I depend on God’s Word and the knowledge I gained in school and beyond with my writing.

What was or is your favorite subject in school. Do you use it in your everyday life? Let me know in the comments below. Thanks for reading. The image belongs to me. My eighth grade picture.
