Many years ago, I wanted a good watch that I wouldn’t need to buy new every couple of years. I bought a Seiko. I had the first one for many years until the back fell off and I lost the battery. I’ve had the second one for probably as long as the first. I was married when I bought the first one with young children at home. I was newly divorced when I bought the second one. I’m a great-grandmother now. So, I’ve had this watch for a very long time. When I bought it, it cost me $275. I’m sure the same watch would cost a lot more today.
I know in an age when people don’t wear watches any longer because the time is on their phones, and the only thing they wear on their wrist is a fitness tracker, I would feel lost without my watch. I notice people my age all wear watches.
