Good evening from a very pleasant Green Bay, Wisconsin. The temp right now is 42 F. It got into the 50s today. People didn’t wear jackets. When you’re used to colder weather, this feels warm.

Today I am so blessed. Today was the dinner party. I started early this morning with a quick trip to the store. It’s best to read the ingredient list when you decide what you will serve. I needed three items. I also grabbed a donut that literally was my breakfast. I got the pot roast in the crock pot by nine a.m. I borrowed my neighbor’s crock pot because mine is too small for eight people.

After getting the pot roast in the crock pot it was time to finish cleaning.

I am so thankful with the way this entire day went. It was like clockwork. My moment of panic happened when I realized there were eight people with me not seven. I realized it when I set the table.

I bought the kids, five of them, all girls, coloring books, crayons which they loved, some stickers, and little things. They loved everything I got them. The parents loved the coffee mugs I got them.

The mugs say “A little bit of coffee and a whole lot of Jesus”. They loved them and the kids all loved their cups too. Their mugs have Paw Patrol characters on them.

The menu for tonight was New England Pot Roast, Spaghetti, and apple crisp with ice cream for dessert.

I am so thankful for having the children here. I haven’t had little ones in my life in a very long time. It was truly a blessing. For as young as they are, they were well behaved and listened to their parents when they got into something they shouldn’t. I worried about kid-proofing my apartment. They proved I didn’t need to. I am blessed.

Everything turned out perfectly. I couldn’t be happier. I have leftovers, but not as much as I expected.

I’m also thankful for waking early enough to get my laundry done and put away and also doing my sheets and getting my bed made before I headed to the store. It was a perfect day.

Now, instead of going to bed as I should. I’m exhausted. However, I haven’t written a single word on Firestorm yet. I’m going to do that and get my phone charged. It really needs it.

I didn’t do any active walking, but I got my steps getting everything ready for the dinner party. That works.
