Good evening from a pleasant day in Green Bay, Wisconsin, USA. It’s currently 47F coming down from the 50s again today.
Today was a good day. There’s always something to be thankful for, always.
I’m thankful I went to Urgent Care this morning. My foot has been getting worse for several months. I thought it was broken. I used my walker this morning. It looks like it will be a constant companion. I’m thankful my foot isn’t broken. I have very bad arthritis. So, it’s orthopedic shoes, which I have but didn’t wear very often. They too will be a constant companion, no slippers, and the walker. I’ll be taking an inflammatory topical gel for the pain. I’ll pick it up tomorrow.
I’m thankful for the work I did on Firestorm. I got 2159 words written today. With the dinner party yesterday, I was so exhausted, I added in a previous chapter, still Firestorm and still words I wrote, just not yesterday. So, my total word count is 34,562. I added in over 5K yesterday.
I’m thankful for my neighbor who took me to Urgent Care this morning. Right now, I’m walking without the walker. I expect the Ibuprofen will wear off soon and I’ll need more. I’ll take it again before I go to bed.
Right when I think I have my brain trained that I’m not getting old, my body betrays me and lets me know I’m getting old. The arthritis proves it. Still, I’m thankful for the medical staff and the x-rays that proved it’s not broken.
I’m also thankful for the time I could be here today. Not as much as I would have liked. Hopefully, I’ll catch up tomorrow.
That’s my day. What are you thankful for today? Let me know in the comments below. Thanks for reading. The image belongs to me.
