Day 305 – Integrity
Proverbs 11:3 The integrity of the upright will guide them, but the perversity of the unfaithful destroys them.
God’s names:
Yeshuwa – Jesus
Kurios – Supreme Authority
God’s character:
Integrity
Faithfulness
People look good on the outside. They say and do things that look right and honest, but inside, they are different, unfaithful in everything they claim to say and do.
Solomon told the people that integrity would guide the upright, but unfaithfulness would destroy dishonest people.
What kind of person are you? Even Yeshuwa had problems with the religious leaders of His day.
Matthew 23:23 “Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! For you pay tithe of mint and anise and cummin and neglect the weightier matters of the law: justice and mercy and faith. These you ought to have done, without leaving the others undone. 24 Blind guides, who strain out a gnat and swallow a camel! 25 Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! For you cleanse the outside of the cup and dish, but inside they are full of extortion and self-indulgence. 26 Blind Pharisee, first cleanse the inside of the cup and dish, so that the outside of them may be clean also. 27 Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! For you are like whitewashed tombs which indeed appear beautiful outwardly but inside are full of dead men’s bones and all uncleanness. 28 Even so you also outwardly appear righteous to men, but inside you are full of hypocrisy and lawlessness.
When people visit you or you visit others do you find their actions and words are equal? Do you live the same life in front of others as you do when you’re alone in your home? Or will Yeshuwa call you a white-washed tomb full of dead men’s bones?
As Christians you need to live in integrity in everything you say and do no matter who sees you. Even when you’re alone, Yeshuwa sees everything you say and do.
No one is perfect. However, when you purpose in your heart to live a life of integrity, people will notice. Your integrity will guide you.
Let’s pray: Father, help me to live in integrity in everything I say and do. Show me where I need to change. Forgive me and change me into a person of integrity. In Jesus’ name, I pray. Amen.
