Day 313 – Counselor
Proverbs 11:14 Where there is no counsel, the people fall; but in the multitude of counselors there is safety.
God’s name:
Yeshuwa – Jesus
JEHOVAH – Self-existent, Eternal
Soter – Savior
Kurios – Supreme Authority
Hagios Pneuma – Sacred, Holy, Violent Wind, Breath, Spirit
Iesous – Jesus
Pater – Father
God’s character:
Counselor
Helper
People need each other. Without them, the only person they have is themselves. However, when people have friends, they can talk things over with them and decide the best way to carry out their goals.
Solomon had many advisors to counsel him. He needed them to run the country he inherited from his father, David. He also knew JEHOVAH was his counselor. Without Him, he would fail in his kingship.
When you accepted Yeshuwa as Soter and Kurios, He promised the gift of the Hagios Pneuma to live in you to provide counsel in everything you do.
John 14:16 “I will pray the Pater, and He will give you another Helper, that He may abide with you forever— 17 the Pneuma of truth, whom the world cannot receive, because it neither sees Him nor knows Him; but you know Him, for He dwells with you and will be in you. 18 I will not leave you orphans; I will come to you. 19 A little while longer and the world will see Me no more, but you will see Me. Because I live, you will live also. 20 At that day you will know that I am in My Pater, and you in Me, and I in you. 21 He who has My commandments and keeps them, it is he who loves Me. And he who loves Me will be loved by My Pater, and I will love him and manifest Myself to him.”
22 Judas (not Iscariot) said to Him, “Kurios, how is it that You will manifest Yourself to us, and not to the world?”
23 Iesous answered and said to him, “If anyone loves Me, he will keep My word; and My Pater will love him, and We will come to him and make Our home with him. 24 He who does not love Me does not keep My words; and the word which you hear is not Mine but the Pater’s who sent Me. 25 These things I spoke to you while being present with you. 26 However, the Helper, the Hagios Pneuma, whom the Father will send in My name, He will teach you everything and bring to your remembrance everything I said to you.
Yeshuwa’s promise of the Hagios Pneuma to live in you, is your Counselor, your Helper who will bring everything back to your memory. He will counsel you, lead you to other believers who can help you, and teach you what you need to know. Without counselors, you would fall in your faith. Then your faith would wither and die. You need other believers to encourage and help you. Let the Hagios Pneuma counsel you and teach you everything you need to know.
Let’s pray: Father, thank you for sending the Holy Spirit to help me in my life in You. I depend on Him in everything in my life. Let me praise You everyday for sending the Holy Spirit to live in me and guide me through life. In Jesus’ name, I pray. Amen.
