The hardest decision I ever made was when I looked up a self-publishing company and contracted to publish my first book.
Why was this hard? My life was one of rejection from everyone who should have mattered in my life. Being told I would never amount to anything. It was hard to make that call. With my heart beating fast, butterflies in my stomach at war with each other, and my breath coming in gulps, I talked to the person on the other end of the line who told me what I needed to do. When I hung up, I didn’t hesitate, because I knew if I did at that point, I would never publish my stories. I paid to publish my first book. Since then, I found a free option and re-published my first novel after I went over it again because the typos were overwhelming.
I now have nine published books with KDP and all available on Amazon. I have good reviews from those who read them, and am elated when I get an e-mail from Amazon telling me I have a royalty that month. It’s never much, but it’s comforting to know people are reading my books and enjoy them.
You will find my books listed on this site. I hope you will check them out and consider them as gifts this Christmas. Thank you.
