Day 315 – God

Proverbs 11:16 A gracious woman retains honor, but ruthless men retain riches.

God’s names:

Yeshuwa – Jesus

Huios – Son

Pater – Father

Elohiym – Supreme God

Hagios Pneuma – Sacred, Holy, Violent Wind, Breath, Spirit

Shadday – Almighty

El – Strength, Mighty, God

God’s character:

Grace

Honor

Ruthless

People often joke about the distinct difference between men and women. Yet it is easy to see the difference. Women are softer, kinder, emotional, lean with their heart. Men are hard, statistical, ruthless, lean with their mind to find the best way to accomplish their goals.

Solomon made a distinction between men and women, showing women seek honor and respect above wealth and riches. While men will do whatever it takes to gain and hold onto their riches.

Christians look at the gentler side of Yeshuwa. They focus on love, grace, mercy, peace, understanding, honor, and veer away from the harder traits of ruthlessness, vengeance, and determination. They see Yeshuwa as the Huios, a child who was obedient to His Pater, and not the one who handed out the discipline. They attribute different traits to the different sides of Elohiym. Pater – disciplinary, hard, exacting. Huios – obedient, loving, merciful, gracious, truth. Hagios Pneuma – comforter, teacher, guide. Christians even separate each of the persons of the trinity from Shadday El – lawgiver, avenger. Each person of the Trinity is Elohiym. Christians separate them for convenience to see a different side of their nature. However, they are One.

To attribute some of these traits to women and others to men, shows the different sides of Elohiym. In a marriage relationship, you need both sides – grace and honor, and ruthlessness. They compliment each other so they work together as a whole.

Genesis 2:24 Therefore a man will leave his father and mother and be joined to his wife, and they will become one flesh.

Matthew 19:5 “and said, ‘For this reason a man will leave his father and mother and be joined to his wife, and the two will become one flesh’?

John 10:30 “I and My Pater are one.”

John 14:7 “If you had known Me, you would have known My Pater also; and from now on you know Him and have seen Him.”

Yeshuwa told His disciples there was no difference between Him and His Pater. They are One.

Yeshuwa is every trait of the Trinity. When you honor Yeshuwa as the whole and not only as one part, you will also see who Yeshuwa is and give him honor and praise.

Let’s pray: Father, help me see You and not only the part of You I want to see, but every side of You. In Jesus’ name, I pray. Amen.
