Many people look good. They say what you want to hear until you buy into what they try to sell you. Then you find out how deceptive they were in everything they told you. However, the man of honor will not only tell you the truth, but he will also back up everything he says. People don’t want shoddy workmanship that will fall apart moments after they buy it, but they want to have something that will last long after they die. The saying ‘they don’t make things like they used to’, is often heard today.

Solomon saw how deceptive people were and contrasted their deception with people of integrity. He said those who worked righteously would have a sure reward. They would have many blessings from JEHOVAH.

Many people claim to be Christians. They learned the words to say. They might even act like Christians. However, their hearts tell another story. Yeshuwa told those people to depart from Him, He never knew them.

Matthew 7:21 “Not everyone who says to Me, ‘Kurios, Kurios,’ will enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Pater in heaven. 22 Many will say to Me in that day, ‘Kurios, Kurios, have we not prophesied in Your name, cast out demons in Your name, and done many wonders in Your name?’ 23 Then I will declare to them, ‘I never knew you; depart from Me, you who practice lawlessness!’

Acts 8:9 However, there was a certain man called Simon, who previously practiced sorcery in the city and astonished the people of Samaria, claiming that he was someone great, 10 to whom everyone gave heed, from the least to the greatest, saying, “This man is the great power of Theos.” 11 They heeded him because he had astonished them with his sorceries for a long time. 12 However when they believed Philip as he preached the things concerning the kingdom of Theos and the name of Iesous Christos, both men and women were baptized. 13 Then Simon himself also believed; and when he was baptized, he continued with Philip, and was amazed, seeing the miracles and signs which were done.

18 When Simon saw that through the laying on of the apostles’ hands the Hagios Pneuma was given, he offered them money, 19 saying, “Give me this power also, that anyone on whom I lay hands may receive the Hagios Pneuma.” 20 However Peter said to him, “Your money perish with you, because you thought the gift of Theos could be purchased with money! 21 You have neither part nor portion in this matter, for your heart is not right in the sight of Theos. 22 Repent, therefore, of your wickedness, and pray Theos if perhaps the thought of your heart may be forgiven you. 23 For I see you are poisoned by bitterness and bound by iniquity.” 24 Then Simon answered and said, “Pray to the Kurios for me, that none of the things which you have spoken may come upon me.”

If you claim Yeshuwa as Soter and Kurios, but do not live your life for Him, but for yourself, you have only one option open to you — repentance. Only true repentance will bring you into a right relationship with Iesous Christos and assure you of eternal life.

Yeshuwa knows those who belong to Him.

John 10:27 “My sheep hear My voice, and I know them, and they follow Me. 28 And I give them eternal life, and they will never perish; neither will anyone snatch them out of My hand.

Do you sow in righteousness so that Yeshuwa will see your work and bless the work of your hands? Or are you a deceptive Christian?

Let’s pray: Father, You know my heart, You know if there is any deceptive way in me. Search my heart and take everything out that doesn’t honor You and let me know the joy of Your salvation and the reward of eternal life. In Jesus’ name, I pray. Amen.
