Day 318 – Life

Proverbs 11:19 As righteousness leads to life, so he who pursues evil pursues it to his own death.

God’s names:

Yeshuwa – Jesus

JEHOVAH – Self-existent, Eternal

Elohiym – Supreme God

Kurios – Supreme Authority

Iesous – Jesus

Theos – Supreme Divinity

Pater – Father

Pneuma – Violent Wind, Breath, Spirit

Soter – Savior

God’s character:

Righteous

Judge

Teacher

People who live to be 100 or more make headlines. They’re asked what led to their long lives. Then there are those whose lives seem cut short.

Solomon said righteousness led to life, but those who pursued evil found death instead. Solomon wasn’t talking about the end of this mortal life, but eternal life found only in JEHOVAH. He saw how people lived their lives and knew that those who obeyed Elohiym, lived longer. Those who lived life on their terms, died early.

Proverbs 14:12 There is a way that seems right to a man, but its end is the way of death.

Yeshuwa spoke about the two paths a person pursues in life.

Matthew 7:13 “Enter by the narrow gate; for wide is the gate and broad is the way that leads to destruction, and there are many who go in by it. 14 Because narrow is the gate and difficult is the way which leads to life, and there are few who find it. (NKJV)

Christians like to believe they are on the narrow path leading to eternal life. Yeshuwa said the path leading to eternal life is narrow and difficult and few find it.

Yeshuwa also said many people who believe they’re Christians won’t enter eternal life. He will tell them He never knew them.

Matthew 7:21 “Not everyone who says to Me, ‘Kurios, Kurios,’ will enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Pater in heaven. 22 Many will say to Me in that day, ‘Kurios, Kurios, have we not prophesied in Your name, cast out demons in Your name, and done many wonders in Your name?’ 23 Then I will declare to them, ‘I never knew you; depart from Me, you who practice lawlessness!’

Is your Christian life an imitation? If so, you will hear Yeshuwa tell you He never knew you. However, if your life is one in obedience to Him, He will welcome you into eternal life with Him. He said the way was narrow and difficult. Satan will do everything he can to persuade you to live life on your terms and still consider yourself a good Christian. There are many ‘good’ Christians in Hell.

Solomon said righteousness leads to life. Righteousness begins with obedience to Yeshuwa. It begins with you accepting Yeshuwa as Soter and Kurios. He explained the procedure to Nicodemus.

John 3:1 There was a man of the Pharisees named Nicodemus, a ruler of the Jews. 2 This man came to Iesous by night and said to Him, “Rabbi, we know that You are a teacher come from Theos; for no one can do these signs that You do unless Theos is with him.”

 3 Iesous answered and said to him, “Most assuredly, I say to you, unless one is born again, he cannot see the kingdom of Theos.”

 4 Nicodemus said to Him, “How can a man be born when he is old? Can he enter a second time into his mother’s womb and be born?”

 5 Iesous answered, “Most assuredly, I say to you, unless one is born of water and the Pneuma, he cannot enter the kingdom of Theos. 6 That which is born of the flesh is flesh, and that which is born of the Pneuma is spirit. 7 Do not marvel that I said to you, ‘You must be born again.’ 8 The wind blows where it wishes, and you hear it, but cannot tell where it comes from and where it goes. So is everyone who is born of the Pneuma.”

John 1:12 But as many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of Theos, to those who believe in His name: 13 who were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of Theos.

Acts 4:12 “Nor is there salvation in any other, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved.” (NKJV)

Acts 10:43 “To Him all the prophets witness that, through His name, whoever believes in Him will receive remission of sins.” (NKJV)

John 14:6 Jesus said to him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Pater except through Me.

Matthew 5:20 “For I say to you, that unless your righteousness exceeds the righteousness of the scribes and Pharisees, you will by no means enter the kingdom of heaven. (NKJV)

Yeshuwa showed you the way to eternal life. When you follow His path, you will find it. Are you one of the few?

Let’s pray: Father, You showed me the path leading to life. You told me what I need to do to receive eternal life. Lord, I don’t want an imitation life that leads to my destruction and separation from You. Keep me on the narrow path leading to life with You. In Jesus’ name, I pray. Amen.
