Good evening from cold and snowy Green Bay, Wisconsin, USA. It’s 24 F and 18 F. I’m happy. It’s snowing. 😁

It’s been a good day. A near perfect day.

I’m thankful for waking early and getting the laundry done. I got up at 1:45 AM. God knew I needed to be up that early with 3.5 hours of sleep.

I’m thankful I went with my neighbor to Housing this morning regarding the heat issue. They must have called the complex. The heating people will be here first thing Monday morning to fix her furnace. In the meantime the temps are really low before they fix her furnace. Right now she’s at her sister’s as she’s there every Tuesday and Friday night. So at least she will be warm tonight.

I’m thankful for the time I spent with you today. I enjoy reading your posts and seeing what’s going on in your world.

I’m thankful for the work I did on Firestorm today. I read through the four chapters I worked on, listened to for flow, made some changes, and then worked on another five chapters, subdividing one chapter into four chapter. It was a very good day.

I’m thankful for the Volunteer Dinner tonight for the church I attend. They had chicken. I’m allergic to chicken. The pastor asked if salmon would be all right. There are two of us who had salmon tonight. It was the best salmon I ever ate. It was served with a baked potato with sour cream, green and waxed beans and carrots for the vegetable, and there was a plate of dessert squares. I chose a blueberry cheesecake square. The others in the room had chicken, mashed potatoes, dressing, coleslaw, cranberry sauce, and broccoli and carrots.

This is everyone at the table I sat at. I’m the one in the jacket with the huge smile on my face. The boxes on the table contain fudge.

After dinner Pastor had games for people to play with prizes. Pastor asked me to judge the last game which was a cookie decorating contest. It was hard to choose. I collaborated with three or four other people on the best cookie. It was a hard choice.

We chose the first Christmas tree in the top row from the left after the two gingerbread men. As you can see it was a hard choice.

Here they are getting ready to play one of the games. This one they needed to put a Popsicle stick on their lip and without touching it with their hands and put it in the water bottle. The young man in the hat behind Pastor is the one who won the game.

It was a fun night. Good food, good conversation, fun games.

Okay, that’s my day. What are you thankful for today? Let me know in the comments below. The pictures belong to me. Thanks for reading.
