When I look over the past year, the most positive event that took place is my relationship with my children. I’ve spoken to my daughter more often and for longer each time. She doesn’t live close, so I cherish those calls. We did not always get along, but this year I’ve seen a breakthrough and it makes me happy. My relationship with my son and his girlfriend also is much better. I know they love me and that makes a huge difference in my life. Nothing is more important than family and I cherish mine.
Another positive event is starting and finishing a new book. It’s been a long time since I started a new book, so that brings a sense of accomplishment to not only begin a new book, but to finish it and know that one day, I will publish it so you can read it. To use the gift God gave me to write brings joy to my life. I know I’m doing what He wants from me.
Another positive thing in my life, I wouldn’t call it an event, but an increase in my relationship with my Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. To grow daily in Him and know I belong to Him, is key to my eternal joy.
