People will either give generously or hold onto every penny without thought of giving to anyone or any charity. Those who give generously always seem happy, while those who hold onto everything live miserable lives.

Solomon was not only the wisest king in Israel, but he was also the wealthiest. He knew that to obtain wealth, he needed to give generously. He saw what happened to those who held onto everything.

Yeshuwa spoke about people who gave out of their poverty.

Mark 12:41 Now Iesous sat opposite the treasury and saw how the people put money into the treasury. Many who were rich put in much. 42 Then one poor widow came and threw in two mites, which made a quadrans. 43 Then He called His disciples to Himself and said to them, “Assuredly, I say to you that this poor widow has put in more than all those who gave to the treasury; 44 for they put in out of their abundance, but she out of her poverty put in everything she had, her whole livelihood.”

Luke 6:38 “Give, and it will be given to you: good measure, pressed down, shaken together, and running over will be put into your bosom. For with the same measure that you use, it will be measured back to you.” (NKJV)

1 John 3:17 Whoever has this world’s goods and sees his brother in need, and shuts up his heart from him, how does the love of Theos abide in him?

Lu 12:13 Then one from the crowd said to Him, “Teacher, tell my brother to divide the inheritance with me.”

14 However, He said to him, “Man, who made Me a judge or an arbitrator over you?” 15 He said to them, “Take heed and beware of covetousness, for one’s life does not consist in the abundance of the things he possesses.” 16 Then He spoke a parable to them, saying: “The ground of a certain rich man yielded plentifully. 17 He thought within himself, saying, ‘What should I do, since I have no room to store my crops?’ 18 Then he said, ‘I will do this: I will pull down my barns and build greater, and there I will store my crops and my goods. 19 I will say to my soul, “Soul, you have many goods laid up for many years; take your ease; eat, drink, and be merry.”’ 20 However, Theos said to him, ‘Fool! This night your soul will be required of you; then whose will those things be which you have provided?’ 21 Thus is he who lays up treasure for himself and is not rich toward Theos.”

Revelation 3:14 “To the angel of the church of the Laodiceans write, ‘These things say the Amen, the Faithful and True Witness, the Beginning of the creation of Theos: 15 I know your works, that you are neither cold nor hot. I wish you were cold or hot. 16 So then, because you are lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will vomit you out of My mouth. 17 Because you say, ‘I am rich, have become wealthy, and have need of nothing’ —and do not know you are wretched, miserable, poor, blind, and naked— 18 I counsel you to buy from Me gold refined in the fire, that you may be rich; and white garments, that you may be clothed, that the shame of your nakedness may not be revealed; and anoint your eyes with eye salve, that you may see. 19 As many as I love, I rebuke and chasten. Therefore, be zealous and repent. 20 Behold, I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears My voice and opens the door, I will come in to him and dine with him, and he with Me. 21 To him who overcomes I will grant to sit with Me on My throne, as I also overcame and sat down with My Pater on His throne. 22 He who has an ear, let him hear what the Pneuma says to the churches.”’”

When you withhold your hand from those in need, Yeshuwa will withhold His blessings from you. You will find yourselves on the needy end, instead of enjoying the many blessings Yeshuwa wants to give you.

Many Christians look at the edifice of the building where they worship and consider the only thing they are doing with their money is to pay for a rich lifestyle. They listen to the world when it comes to giving to Yeshuwa. They keep their hands in their pockets and then wonder why Yeshuwa isn’t blessing them.

Those Christians who understand it isn’t the building, or the person they give their money to, but to Yeshuwa and His work, will reach deep into their pockets and give generously to His work. Their generosity might not look like much. It might look like the widow’s mite. However, Yeshuwa will bless them for their generosity.

Don’t listen to the world when it comes to giving to Yeshuwa’s work. Satan is behind those lies that keep your hands from giving to Yeshuwa’s work. Listen to the still small voice and open your hand and give generously. Then you will see what Yeshuwa will do for you.

Let’s pray: Father, thank you for Your many blessings. Help me to give as You give me, with a generous hand to the work of Your kingdom. In Jesus’ name, I pray. Amen.
