Daily writing prompt
What is something others do that sparks your admiration?

It isn’t a matter of who I admire but what sparks my admiration.

I admire people who live their lives by doing what they say, not only saying it.

I grew up in a home where the most common statement was “Because I said so.” Said doesn’t do anything. Show me who you are by your actions. Jesus said, we would know people by the fruit they produced, not by what they said.

Said without action is inaction.

When someone tells me something, I expect they also do what they say. If not, I have no respect or admiration for them. They are only words with nothing behind them.

Who are you? Do you live your life in action and not only words? Words are meaningless without action. What do you expect from others? Do you expect it of yourself also?

James said in his epistle: James 1:22 But be doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving yourselves.
23 For if anyone is a hearer of the word and not a doer, he is like a man observing his natural face in a mirror; 24 for he observes himself, goes away, and immediately forgets what kind of man he was.
25 But he who looks into the perfect law of liberty and continues in it, and is not a forgetful hearer but a doer of the work, this one will be blessed in what he does.
(NKJV)

A person who does what they say and not only asks someone to do what they say, is a person I admire.
