Day 330 – Instruction
Proverbs 12:1 Whoever loves instruction loves knowledge, but he who hates correction is stupid.
God’s names:
Yeshuwa – Jesus
JEHOVAH – Self-existent, Eternal
Soter – Savior
Kurios – Supreme Authority
Theos – Supreme Divinity
God’s character:
Teacher
People receive instruction from the moment they’re born. They learn from their parents, then their teachers, and then their employers. Those who obey the instructions given to them will excel. Those who disobey the instructions are stupid.
Solomon didn’t mince words as many people do. As king in Israel, he saw and heard what people said. He knew those who loved instruction and were quick to obey their teachers and masters and were obedient to JEHOVAH. Those who disobeyed everyone showed their stupidity.
Nobody likes to be called stupid. Society gives it another name – ignorance. Most people know the saying – ignorance of the law is no excuse.
When you accepted Yeshuwa as Soter and Kurios, you committed to living in obedience to His Word. Among Christians, when you ignore the Word of Theos or decide it doesn’t pertain to you, you show not only your ignorance, but your stupidity.
Throughout Scripture, Elohiym asked only one thing of His people – obedience to Him and His Word.
2 Timothy 3:16 All Scripture is given by inspiration of Theos, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness, 17 that the man of Theos may be complete, thoroughly equipped for every good work.
You cannot become equipped if you don’t read the instructions. It’s like putting together a Christmas present and leaving the instructions in the box, believing you don’t need them. It doesn’t work unless you put the present together many times before and know how to assemble it. The only way you can become equipped in Yeshuwa is to read and study His Word, your instructions. It takes many years to become equipped in Yeshuwa’s Word. Reading His Word once will not teach you what you need to know. Every time you read a Scripture, it breathes life into you, and you see another side of what Yeshuwa wants you to know about Him. Those who leave Yeshuwa’s Word on the coffee table or on the shelf are stupid. They refuse to learn what Yeshuwa wants to teach them.
2 Timothy 2:15 Be diligent to present yourself approved to Theos, a worker who does not need to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.
Open Yeshuwa’s Word every day. Make a reading plan. Set a time to meet with Him. We’re coming into a new year soon. Make it your first priority in 2026 to read the instructions and become acquainted with Yeshuwa and what He wants for you. When you do, you will find blessings coming your way and you will know joy in your heart because Yeshuwa IS your Soter and Kurios.
Let’s pray: Father, let Your Word be a lamp to my feet and a light to my path. Give me understanding and wisdom when I open Your Word. Let Your Word sink down into my soul and rise within me with newness in You. Teach me what You want me to know every day. Then I will not be stupid but receive Your blessings in my life. In Jesus’ name, I pray. Amen.
