Day 339 – Wisdom

Proverbs 12:16 A fool’s wrath is known at once, but a prudent man covers shame.

God’s names:

Yeshuwa – Jesus

Iesous – Jesus

Christos – Anointed One, Messiah

God’s character:

Wise

People can name the foolish people in their lives. Everything they do is on public display. Not so the prudent or wise person who will do what they can to cover shame and not make a spectacle of it.

As king of Israel, Solomon encountered many kinds of people. It was easy for him to discern between a fool and a wise person.

When you became a Christian, you changed your foolish nature into one that glorified Yeshuwa in everything you said and did. The only way to cover your foolish nature is through the blood of Iesous Christos and His sacrifice on Calvary.

2 Corinthians 5:17 Therefore, if anyone is in Christos, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, everything has become new.

James 5:19 Brethren, if anyone among you wanders from the truth, and someone turns him back, 20 let him know that he who turns a sinner from the error of his way will save a soul from death and cover a multitude of sins. (NKJV)

1 Peter 4:7 The end of everything is at hand; therefore, be serious and watchful in your prayers. 8 Above everything have fervent love for one another, for “love will cover a multitude of sins.”

Yeshuwa covered your sins and you are to cover others sins and show them the love of Yeshuwa by your words and actions.

Let’s pray: Father, thank you for sending your Son, to die for me and cover my sin with His blood. Help me to do the same for others, showing His love for me in everything. In Jesus’ name, I pray. Amen.
