Day 340 – Integrity

Proverbs 12:17 He who speaks truth declares righteousness, but a false witness, deceit. 18 There is one who speaks like the piercings of a sword, but the tongue of the wise promotes health. 19 The truthful lip will be established forever, but a lying tongue is but for a moment. 20 Deceit is in the heart of those who devise evil, but counselors of peace have joy.

God’s names:

Yeshuwa – Jesus

JEHOVAH – Self-existent, Eternal

God’s character:

Truth

Righteousness

Wisdom

Peace

Joy

Who can you rely on to tell you the truth, to be a person of their word, to think of others before themselves? Everywhere you look you see people promoting themselves without caring about the other person.

Solomon saw a lot of deceit, but he also saw how the righteous people who trusted JEHOVAH behaved toward one another.

Before you became a Christian, what kind of person were you? Could people rely on you, or did people look for others they could rely on to act with integrity?

When you are by nature deceitful, and look out for yourself alone, it takes a lot to change who you are to a faithful person who trusts Yeshuwa in everything. It can be done. Look at the life of Paul. He persecuted Christians, had them put to death. No one trusted him to act with integrity toward believers when Yeshuwa found him on the Damascus Road. It took Barnabas to speak for him and recommend him to the believers.

What do you need to do to become a person of integrity people can rely on? If you are a person of integrity, who can you help in their relationship with Yeshuwa and others?

Let’s pray: Father, help me to be a person of integrity with You and others. In Jesus’ name, I pray. Amen.
