Day 344 – Anxiety

Proverbs 12:25 Anxiety in the heart of man causes depression, but a good word makes it glad.

God’s names:

Yeshuwa – Jesus

God’s character:

Glad

People receive news every day, either good or bad. Bad news causes worry and anxiety. Good news makes people happy. Nobody wants bad news. Some people live on anxiety and depression medication to help them cope with life.

Solomon dealt with the affairs of the kingdom. He knew the value of good news and how bad news caused anxiety.

Many Christians suffer from anxiety and depression. They allow the cares of this world to distract them from a life of joy in Yeshuwa.

Yeshuwa told a parable about the sower and how the cares of this world choke the Word.

Mark 4:14 “The sower sows the word. 15 And these are the ones by the wayside where the word is sown. When they hear, Satan comes at once and takes away the word that was sown in their hearts. 16 These likewise are the ones sown on stony ground who, when they hear the word, at once receive it with gladness; 17 and they have no root in themselves and so endure only for a time. Afterward, when tribulation or persecution arises for the word’s sake, at once they stumble. 18 Now these are the ones sown among thorns; they are the ones who hear the word, 19 and the cares of this world, the deceitfulness of riches, and the desires for other things entering in choke the word, and it becomes unfruitful. 20 But these are the ones sown on good ground, those who hear the word, accept it, and bear fruit: some thirtyfold, some sixty, and some a hundred.”

Yeshuwa pointed to Satan as the one who takes the Word from your heart and causes you anxious moments. You want to believe, but your life has been one of fear and anxiety.

How do you change a lifetime of fear and anxiety to one of joy and gratefulness? You start by spending time in Bible study and prayer. When you read Yeshuwa’s Word, pay attention to the promises He gives you and make them yours. Write them down. Memorize them so that when Satan comes against you with fear disabling moments, you have Yeshuwa’s promises to quote back at him. Satan cannot stand against Yeshuwa’s Word. He will flee from you. The more you read Yeshuwa’s Word, the stronger you become until fear and anxiety are in the past.

Let Yeshuwa’s Word change your life one promise at a time.

Let’s pray: Father, fill my heart with Your Word so that when Satan comes against me, I have a weapon to use against him. Give me a heart of praise and thanksgiving for everything You do for me. In Jesus’ name, I pray. Amen.
