- God’s character:
- Wisdom
When you meet people, it doesn’t take more than a few words to know whether the person is wise or doesn’t know what he’s talking about. A person of wisdom shows it with everything he says and does.
Solomon knew the Law of Moses was the wisdom of JEHOVAH. With it, he could stay away from Satan’s snares that led to death.
When you became a Christian, you committed your life to studying Elohiym’s Word so you could know His wisdom and keep yourself free from the chains that bound you before you accepted Him as Soter and Kurios. However, many Christians don’t open their Bible or Bible apps to read Elohiym’s Word. They don’t know what it says. They rely on their pastors and Bible teachers to teach them what the Bible says. That’s dangerous.
How do you know what your pastor is teaching you if you don’t open the Bible for yourself? There are many doctrines and churches who proclaim to teach Elohiym’s Word, but do they?
2 Timothy 2:15 Be diligent to present yourself approved to Theos, a worker who does not need to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.
Ephesians 4:1 I, therefore, the prisoner of Kurios, beseech you to walk worthy of the calling with which you were called, 2 with all lowliness and gentleness, with longsuffering, bearing with one another in love, 3 endeavoring to keep the unity of the Pneuma in the bond of peace. 4 There is one body and one Pneuma, just as you were called in one hope of your calling; 5 one Lord, one faith, one baptism; 6 one Theos and Pater of all, who is above all, and through all, and in you all. 7 But to each one of us grace was given according to the measure of Christos’s gift. 8 Therefore, He says, “When He ascended on high, He led captivity captive and gave gifts to men.” 9 (Now this, “He ascended” —what does it mean but that He also first descended into the lower parts of the earth? 10 He who descended is also the One who ascended far above all the heavens, that He might fill all things.) 11 And He Himself gave some to be apostles, some prophets, some evangelists, and some pastors and teachers, 12 for the equipping of the saints for the work of ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christos, 13 till we all come to the unity of the faith and of the knowledge of the Huios of Theos, to a perfect man, to the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christos; 14 that we should no longer be children, tossed to and fro and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the trickery of men, in the cunning craftiness of deceitful plotting, 15 but, speaking the truth in love, may grow up in everything into Him who is the head—Christos— 16 from whom the whole body, joined and knit together by what every joint supplies, according to the effective working by which every part does its share, causes growth of the body for the edifying of itself in love.
When you read and study your Bible, you will know what Yeshuwa expects of you. You will know what it says. When you know what the Bible says, you will know whether what you hear from the pulpit is Yeshuwa’s Word. Wisdom will keep you on the right path, the path of salvation.
Yeshuwa’s law is wisdom. It will keep you from Satan’s snares. The only thing you need to do is open His Word and study it.
Let’s pray: Father, thank you for Your Word. Help me read and study it daily so I can know when Satan tries to destroy my faith by leading me astray. Keep my feet on the path of righteousness. Let Your Word be in my heart and on my lips so I can come against Satan when he comes against me. In Jesus’ name, I pray. Amen.
