Day 360 – Honor

Proverbs 13:18 Poverty and shame will come to him who disdains correction, but he who regards a rebuke will be honored. 19 A desire carried out is sweet to the soul, but it is an abomination to fools to depart from evil. 20 He who walks with wise men will be wise, but the companion of fools will be destroyed. 21 Evil pursues sinners, but to the righteous, good will be repaid.

God’s names:

Yeshuwa – Jesus

JEHOVAH – Self-existent, Eternal

Hagios Pneuma – Sacred, Holy, Violent Wind, Breath, Spirit

God’s character:

Honor

Wisdom

Righteous

Good

Society has many foolish people, but how many of those foolish people could be termed fools? A fool pursues evil, disdains correction, lives in poverty and shame, and looks for other like-minded people. Foolish people can learn from their mistakes, and turn from their wicked ways, but not a fool. Foolish people who accept rebuke can turn to the honorable path, and seek justice, honor, wisdom, and good things in their lives.

Solomon knew the difference between fools and foolish people. He saw how one was set on evil and never turned from it, while those who sought JEHOVAH, turned their lives around and found His blessings in their lives.

Satan grabs hold of foolish people to try to turn them to his ways. However, he runs in fear from foolish people who turn their hearts to Yeshuwa and seek His face and intentions for their lives. He homes in on the fool who says Elohiym isn’t real. When the Hagios Pneuma touches the heart of foolish people, he doesn’t stand a chance, especially when a foolish person kneels at the altar and surrenders his life to Yeshuwa.

Christians were foolish before they heard Yeshuwa knocking on their heart’s door and opened it and asked Him to wash them clean in His blood and turn their foolish lives into a life of honor, righteousness, and good.

Revelation 3:20 “Behold, I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears My voice and opens the door, I will come in to him and dine with him, and he with Me. (NKJV)

Matthew 11:28 “Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. 29 Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. 30 For My yoke is easy and My burden is light.” (NKJV)

Do you hear a gentle knock in your life? It’s not too late to turn your foolish ways into honor, righteousness, and good. Open the door.

Let’s pray: Father, take this foolish heart and turn it to a heart that searches for You, clings to You, and devotes my life to You. Let my life be one of wisdom, honor, and righteousness as I seek to do good and not evil, turning away from Satan and reaching out to You. In Jesus’ name, I pray. Amen.
