What do I complain about most? I’m sure complaints cross my lips, but I don’t pay attention to them. I’m not a complainer. People who complain are negative, sad, grumpy, and irritating people to be around. That’s not me. See that smile in the photo? That’s who I am. If I complain, I complain to God in the quiet of my apartment, then I put my smile on my face and go about my day, completely forgetting what I complained to Him about. I knew He would take care of my problem, whatever it was or is.

Do you complain? Let me know in the comments. Thanks for reading. The image belongs to me.

    Hi dearest Valerie,
That is so well put. “If I complain, I complain to God in the quiet of my apartment, then I put my smile on my face and go about my day.” As it should be I think. This may be short, but it’s surely packed with a very insightful lesson. Have a beautiful Wisconsin day.
    Your friend,

Thank you. It’s always beautiful in Wisconsin. I smile a lot especially when it snows. This deep freeze we had in the past two weeks didn’t wipe the smile from my face and I didn’t complain. I just stayed inside because it was the right thing to do, and kept right on smiling. No complaints here.

Have a wonderful and blessed day too in Canada, I think British Columbia. Correct me if I’m wrong.

Your Pic, I love it. I’m grinning ear to ear with you. I am like you, for sure. My oldest daughter, though, tells me that she wishes that I would let her complain more rather than always trying to show her the silver lining. I am trying to be better at letting her have her space to vent, to allow her feelings to be hers without trying to fix. It is such a challenge!! I, like you, am intentional not to home in too much on the what’s wrong.

Good for you. Keep smiling and give your daughter her right to be herself.
