Day 14 – Righteousness

Proverbs 14:19 The evil will bow before the good, and the wicked at the gates of the righteous.

• Righteous
• Grace
• Just
• Redeemer
• Forbearance – Mercy
• Love

You only need to turn on the news, the Internet, go shopping, spend time in public places where people congregate to see evil in all its wicked glory. As evil as the world is, those who indulge in evil will get their reward.

Solomon saw people’s evil intentions. He also saw how wickedness bowed to righteousness. Good will always conquer evil. JEHOVAH will always triumph over wickedness.

1 Samuel 16:7 But JEHOVAH said to Samuel, “Do not look at his appearance or at the height of his stature, because I have refused him. For JEHOVAH does not see as man sees; for man looks at the outward appearance, but JEHOVAH looks at the heart.”

Jeremiah 17:9 “The heart is deceitful above everything, and desperately wicked; who can know it? 10 I, JEHOVAH, search the heart, I test the mind, even to give every man according to his ways, according to the fruit of his doings.

You were born wicked. Evil governed your life until the day Yeshuwa claimed your heart and you made a complete 180 in your life, turning from Satan’s pleasures to the joy set before you by Yeshuwa.

Romans 3:21 But now the righteousness of Theos apart from the law is revealed, being witnessed by the Law and the Prophets, 22 even the righteousness of Theos, through faith in Iesous Christos, to everyone and on everyone who believes. For there is no difference; 23 for everyone has sinned and fallen short of the glory of Theos, 24 being justified freely by His grace through the redemption that is in Christos Iesous, 25 whom Theos set forth as a propitiation by His blood, through faith, to demonstrate His righteousness, because in His forbearance Theos had passed over the sins that were previously committed, 26 to demonstrate at the present time His righteousness, that He might be just and the justifier of the one who has faith in Iesous.

Hebrews 12:1 Therefore, we also, since we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which so easily ensnares us, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us, 2 looking unto Iesous, the author and finisher of our faith, who for the joy that was set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame, and has sat down at the right hand of the throne of Theos.

Revelation 20:12 And I saw the dead, small and great, standing before Theos, and books were opened. And another book was opened, which is the Book of Life. And the dead were judged according to their works, by the things which were written in the books. 13 The sea gave up the dead who were in it, and Death and Hades delivered up the dead who were in them. And they were judged, each one according to his works. 14 Then Death and Hades were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death. 15 And anyone not found written in the Book of Life was cast into the lake of fire. (NKJV)

For everyone who accepted Yeshuwa as Soter and Kurios, you have hope.

Romans 6:23 For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of Theos is eternal life in Christos Iesous our Kurios.

Romans 5:8 But Theos demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christos died for us.

Yeshuwa is love. He demonstrates it to you every day. His divine goodness shines through the blessings He gives you when you obey Him.

Wicked people don’t know what love is. They only know how to generate evil in the lives of everyone around them. They will bow before Yeshuwa. When they do, it will be too late for them.

Philippians 2:5 Let this mind be in you which was also in Christos Iesous, 6 who, being in the form of Theos, did not consider it robbery to be equal with Theos, 7 but made Himself of no reputation, taking the form of a bondservant, and coming in the likeness of men. 8 And being found in appearance as a man, He humbled Himself and became obedient to the point of death, even the death of the cross. 9 Therefore, Theos also has highly exalted Him and given Him the name which is above every name, 10 that at the name of Iesous every knee should bow, of those in heaven, and of those on earth, and of those under the earth, 11 and that every tongue should confess that Iesous Christos is Kurios, to the glory of Theos the Pater.

When John the Baptist saw the Pharisees and Sadducees, he told them what would become of them. It is the same for everyone who does not put their faith in Yeshuwa.

Matthew 3:7 But when he saw many of the Pharisees and Sadducees coming to his baptism, he said to them, “Brood of vipers! Who warned you to flee from the wrath to come? 8 Therefore, bear fruits worthy of repentance, 9 and do not think to say to yourselves, ‘We have Abraham as our father.’ For I say to you that Theos can raise children to Abraham from these stones. 10 And even now the ax is laid to the root of the trees. Therefore, every tree which does not bear good fruit is cut down and thrown into the fire. 11 I indeed baptize you with water unto repentance, but He who is coming after me is mightier than I, whose sandals I am not worthy to carry. He will baptize you with the Hagios Pneuma and fire. 12 His winnowing fan is in His hand, and He will thoroughly clean out His threshing floor, and gather His wheat into the barn; but He will burn up the chaff with unquenchable fire.”

Yeshuwa redeemed you from the curse of the law so you could be with Him in eternity. It’s up to you — your choice, whether you accept Him and His love for you or not. The consequences of your decision are eternal – either you will be with Him in heaven or separated from Him in Hell.

Don’t let wickedness rule your life. Ultimately wickedness bows to righteousness. It cannot stand before Yeshuwa.

Let’s pray: Father, thank you for Your Son who loved me so much, He died for me so I can spend eternity with You. Let Your love shine through me so that everyone who sees me, sees You and will bow before You as Redeemer and Lord. In Jesus’ name, I pray. Amen.
