I’m sure there have been many wonderful inventions in my lifetime, but the one that stands out the most is the one I use the most, my computer.

When I started out life in the 1950s, there might have been computers, but not the kind that could be in every household. My writing tools were paper and pencil and later, typewriter, and eventually, the computer. I would probably be lost now without a computer. I certainly wouldn’t be able to write this post without it.

I know another fantastic invention was the cellphone. When I was born, we had wall phones with cords attached to the wall. We also couldn’t just pick up the receiver and call, we had to listen to make certain the line was clear as we had a party line – several people used the same number and were given a specific number of rings if the call was for you. Now the phone sits in the palm of your hand and you can use it to write posts on WordPress. Amazing. I wouldn’t though, I need a large enough screen so I can see what I’m typing.

So, for me the greatest invention in my lifetime is the computer which allows me to communicate with people around the world, read what they write, and write books for people to read and enjoy.

What is the greatest invention in your lifetime? Let me know in the comments below. Thanks for reading. The image belongs to me.

Very happy to see that you’re using your computer… Most of the ones that I know don’t even use it properly for being productive. Kudos!
