Day 22 – Love

Proverbs 14:30 A sound heart is life to the body, but envy is rottenness to the bones.

  • God’s names:
  • Yeshuwa – Jesus
  • Iesous – Jesus
  • Huios – Son
  • Theos – Supreme Divinity
  • Pneuma – Violent Wind, Breath, Spirit
  • God’s character:
  • Life
  • Love

When people love each other, it brings soundness to everything they do. However, when envy reaches into a relationship, it brings rottenness with it.

Solomon was a man with many wives. He knew love, as recorded in the book Song of Solomon. Among his many wives, he would have also seen envy and strife which eats at a relationship and corrodes everything in its path.

Yeshuwa is the perfect example of love. When you said yes to Him and became His child, you found agape love – unconditional. His love doesn’t envy, it doesn’t diminish, it only grows as you grow in your love for Him and others. His love colors everything in your world making it more vibrant. You don’t need rose-colored glasses to see His love, or love those around you. His love shapes everything you do.

Satan will do everything he can to destroy the love found only in Yeshuwa. His thoughts and intentions if left to fester will bring rottenness to your bones. It will color everything you do in envy and strife.

Only when you spend time with Yeshuwa daily in Bible study, prayer, and gathering with other believers around His Word, can you shut the door Satan tries to open. He will flee from you. Yeshuwa told His disciples, he would flee for a season, meaning you need to be in constant prayer and fellowship with Him in His Word so you can come against Satan with the power of Scripture. Scripture, you hide in your heart so you cannot sin against Him.

Psalm 119:11 Your word I have hidden in my heart, that I might not sin against You!

Matthew 4:1 Then Iesous was led up by the Pneuma into the wilderness to be tempted by the devil. 2 And when He had fasted forty days and forty nights, afterward He was hungry. 3 Now when the tempter came to Him, he said, “If You are the Huios of Theos, command that these stones become bread.”

4 But He answered and said, “It is written, ‘Man will not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceeds from the mouth of Theos.’”

Luke 4:13 Now when the devil had ended every temptation, he left Him until an opportune time. (NKJV)

Satan will always look for an opportune time to tempt you. It always comes when you are at your lowest. He will try to tell you Yeshuwa doesn’t love you but only uses you. He will try to use servanthood against you, telling you that you are no more than a puppet doing His will. If left unchecked, his lies will convince you. That’s when you use Scripture against him. When you do, he will flee.

James 4:7 Therefore, submit to Theos. Resist the devil and he will flee from you. 8 Draw near to Theos and He will draw near to you. Cleanse your hands, you sinners; and purify your hearts, you double-minded.

What lies is Satan telling you right now? Come against him in the only way that will make him flee – with Scripture. Read it, study it, let Yeshuwa’s Word sink deep in your heart so you can be ready when Satan tries to tempt you.

Let’s pray: Father, I am Your child, yet Satan continues to come against me. I am ashamed to find this control over my life. Let Your Word rise in me when he attacks and let me see him flee as I rise with the power of Your Word on my lips. In Jesus’ name, I pray. Amen.
