Day 33 – Wealth

Proverbs 15:6 In the house of the righteous there is much treasure, but in the revenue of the wicked is trouble.

  • God’s names:
  • Yeshuwa – Jesus
  • JEHOVAH – Self-existent, Eternal
  • Soter – Savior
  • Kurios – Supreme Authority, Lord
  • Theos – Supreme Divinity
  • Christos – Anointed One, Messiah
  • Iesous – Jesus
  • God’s character:
  • Righteous
  • Provider

People everywhere are divided by class and affluence. You know who has money and who doesn’t. You also know that money in the hands of wicked people brings them nothing but trouble. You hear about corruption and practices that lead them to prison. However, those who aren’t corrupted by their wealth, but use it to help others gain more wealth.

Solomon saw how wealth guided people in their daily lives. When JEHOVAH was their source of income, they had more than they needed to take care of their daily lives and give to others. Those who lived solely for themselves saw their wealth bring nothing but trouble to their lives.

People believe the only way to be happy is to have more money. When you said yes to Yeshuwa as Soter and Kurios, He showed you that life wasn’t about money because money corrupts. Instead, He showed you how to gain more by being generous to others.

1 Timothy 6:10 For the love of money is a root of all kinds of evil, for which some have strayed from the faith in their greediness, and pierced themselves through with many sorrows. (NKJV)

Contrast this with what Yeshuwa said to do with your money.

Luke 6:38 “Give, and it will be given to you: good measure, pressed down, shaken together, and running over will be put into your bosom. For with the same measure that you use, it will be measured back to you.” (NKJV)

Money itself isn’t evil. You need it to take care of your daily needs. It’s the love of money that corrupts a person. The more they get the more they want until their soul is black with greed. When you give with a generous heart, Yeshuwa will multiply your wealth back to you.

Now, you might tell yourself that you love Yeshuwa, but your pockets are empty. Where is this wealth Yeshuwa is supposed to pour into your bosom? Is He selective in who gets wealth and who doesn’t? No! Wealth isn’t only about money. Wealth is in how you treat others. It’s found in a generous nature. Your bank account might not look like you have enough to give to anyone, but when you lend a hand, when you show up to help others, when your generosity has nothing to do with your bank account, you will find you have everything you need to take care of your daily lives. Your bills are paid. You have food on your table. You have a home. You have everything you need, and you can help others in need too.

It’s nice to have money, but it’s better to show generosity to others. That’s true wealth. Yeshuwa is your source and He will provide everything you need.

Philippians 4:19 And my Theos will supply everything you need according to His riches in glory by Christos Iesous.

Let’s pray: Father, give me a generous heart so that when I see a need, I give and not hold back what You provided. In Jesus’ name, I pray. Amen.
