Day 35 – Integrity

Proverbs 15:8 The sacrifice of the wicked is an abomination to JEHOVAH, but the prayer of the upright is His delight. 9 The way of the wicked is an abomination to JEHOVAH, but He loves him who follows righteousness.

God’s names:

  • JEHOVAH – Self-existent, Eternal
  • Elohiym – Supreme God
  • Yeshuwa – Jesus
  • Theos – Supreme Divinity

God’s character:

  • Righteous
  • Upright
  • Love

Many People sacrifice many things to make themselves look good, but their deeds are known for what they represent. Those who live honest lives bring honor to themselves.

Solomon understood what sacrificing to false elohiym did to himself and the nation. He allowed his foreign wives to influence him and build altars to elohiym who were abominable to Elohiym. When he realized his error, he returned to JEHOVAH and told the people the best way to live their lives before it was too late.

Ecclesiastes 12:13 Let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter: Fear Elohiym and keep His commandments, for this is man’s all. 14 For Elohiym will bring every work into judgment, including every secret thing, whether good or evil.

You can’t hide a wicked life behind good deeds. Elohiym sees everything you do and knows the thoughts of your heart.

As Christians, you need to live your life with integrity before Yeshuwa. When you do, no one will misinterpret your actions, they will know your heart belongs to Yeshuwa.

Christians who live their lives for public approval, do not honor Yeshuwa, but themselves, just like the Pharisees whom Yeshuwa condemned because they stood on street corners and proclaimed their good deeds.

Luke 18:9 Also He spoke this parable to some who trusted in themselves that they were righteous, and despised others: 10 “Two men went up to the temple to pray, one a Pharisee and the other a tax collector. 11 The Pharisee stood and prayed thus with himself, ‘Theos, I thank You that I am not like other men—extortioners, unjust, adulterers, or even as this tax collector. 12 I fast twice a week; I give tithes of everything I possess.’ 13 And the tax collector, standing afar off, would not so much as raise his eyes to heaven, but beat his breast, saying, ‘Theos, be merciful to me a sinner!’ 14 I tell you, this man went down to his house justified rather than the other; for everyone who exalts himself will be humbled, and he who humbles himself will be exalted.”

1 Peter 5:6 Therefore humble yourselves under the mighty hand of Theos, that He may exalt you in due time, 7 casting all your care upon Him, for He cares for you.

Yeshuwa knows your heart. Live your life in obedience to Him and He will exalt you and bring honor and blessing to your life.

Let’s pray: Father, give me a humble heart, one that fears You above everything else in my life. Let my life be a testament of Your love. In Jesus’ name, I pray. Amen.
