Day 37 – Knowledge

Proverbs 15:11 Hell and Destruction are before JEHOVAH: so how much more the hearts of the sons of men.

  • God’s names:
  • JEHOVAH – Self-existent, Eternal
  • Ruwach – Wind, Violent Breath, Spirit
  • Yeshuwa – Jesus
  • Iesous – Jesus
  • Huios of Anthropos – Son of Man
  • Theos – Supreme Divinity
  • God’s character:
  • Judge

People like to believe they are in control of their lives. They dislike it when their actions are on public display.

Solomon knew JEHOVAH saw everything people did. Their disobedience brought His judgment. Their obedience brought blessings. He also knew how JEHOVAH chose his father, David as king of Israel.

1 Samuel 16:6 So it was, when they came, that he looked at Eliab and said, “Surely JEHOVAH’S anointed is before Him.” 7 But JEHOVAH said to Samuel, “Do not look at his appearance or at the height of his stature, because I have refused him. For JEHOVAH does not see as man sees; for man looks at the outward appearance, but JEHOVAH looks at the heart.” 8 Then Jesse called Abinadab and made him pass before Samuel. He said, “Neither has JEHOVAH chosen this one.” 9 Then Jesse made Shammah pass by. He said, “Neither has JEHOVAH chosen this one.” 10 Thus Jesse made seven of his sons pass before Samuel. Samuel said to Jesse, “JEHOVAH has not chosen these.” 11 Samuel said to Jesse, “Are all the young men here?” Then he said, “There remains yet the youngest, and there he is, keeping the sheep.” Samuel said to Jesse, “Send and bring him. For we will not sit down till he comes here.” 12 Then he sent and brought him in. Now he was ruddy, with bright eyes, and good-looking. JEHOVAH said, “Arise, anoint him; for this is the one!” 13 Then Samuel took the horn of oil and anointed him amid his brothers; and the Ruwach of JEHOVAH came upon David from that day forward. Then Samuel rose and went to Ramah.

JEHOVAH looks at the heart. He knows what lies within.

When you became a Christian, you realized Yeshuwa saw into your heart and asked Him to forgive you of your sins.

Mark 2:1 Again He entered Capernaum after some days, and it was heard that He was in the house. 2 At once many gathered, so that there was no longer room to receive them, not even near the door. He preached the word to them. 3 Then they came to Him, bringing a paralytic who was carried by four men. 4 When they could not come near Him because of the crowd, they uncovered the roof where He was. When they had broken through, they let down the bed on which the paralytic was lying. 5 When Iesous saw their faith, He said to the paralytic, “Son, your sins are forgiven you.” 6 Some of the scribes were sitting there and reasoning in their hearts, 7 “Why does this Man speak blasphemies like this? Who can forgive sins but Theos alone?” 8 At once, Iesous perceived in His spirit that they reasoned thus within themselves, He said to them, “Why do you reason about these things in your hearts? 9 Which is easier, to say to the paralytic, ‘Your sins are forgiven you,’ or to say, ‘Arise, take up your bed and walk’? 10 That you may know that the Huios of Anthropos has power on earth to forgive sins” —He said to the paralytic, 11 “I say to you, arise, take up your bed, and go to your house.” 12 At once he arose, took up the bed, and went out in the presence of them all, so that all were amazed and glorified Theos, saying, “We never saw anything like this!”

Yeshuwa knows your thoughts. You can hide nothing from Him. When you understand that everything you do, He already knows, you will be more apt to obey Him, than to live your life on your terms and find yourself on the wrong side of eternity. Then you will confess your sins and receive His forgiveness.

1 John 1:9 If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. (NKJV)

Let’s pray: Father, You know my heart, my thoughts and everything about me. Forgive me for believing I can go through life doing what I want without regard for what You want from me. Show me Your love and fill me with Your Spirit so that I will always live in obedience to You and not in opposition to You. In Jesus’ name, I pray. Amen.
