Day 39 – Restoration
Proverbs 15:13 A merry heart makes a cheerful countenance, but by sorrow of the heart the spirit is broken.
- God’s names:
- Yeshuwa – Jesus
- Hagios Pneuma – Sacred, Holy, Violent Wind, Breath, Spirit
- God’s character:
- Compassionate
How many truly happy people do you know? You want to be around them. They generate positive energy that’s contagious. However, life imposes itself and tries to shut down the positive with all the negativity in the world. That negativity breaks the spirit.
Solomon saw the merits of a cheerful disposition. He also saw how sorrow breaks the spirit. He was a man who understood life and everything it stood for.
Solomon put it another way with the same meaning.
Proverbs 17:22 A merry heart does good, like medicine, but a broken spirit dries the bones.
No one wants a broken spirit. No one wants a broken heart filled with continual sorrow. They want to know the joy of living a life filled with promise and hope.
You find that hope and promise in Yeshuwa. When you said yes to Yeshuwa, your sorrow changed to joy. He mended your broken heart and gave you a heart filled with His love. Yeshuwa turned a life of negativity into a positive life filled with the joy of knowing who you are in Him. His Pneuma lives in you. He doesn’t break you. He restores you and gives you hope.
What does your life look like? Is it cheerful or full of sorrow. Let the Hagios Pneuma inject new life into you and fill you with His love.
Let’s pray: Father, fill me with Your love that drives out the negativity from my life and renew me with the restorative power from Your Spirit who lives in me. In Jesus’ name, I pray. Amen.
