Day 41 – Joy

Proverbs 15:15 All the days of the afflicted are evil, but he who is of a merry heart has a continual feast.

  • God’s names:
  • Yeshuwa – Jesus
  • JEHOVAH – Self-existent, Eternal
  • Theos – Supreme Divinity
  • Christos – Anointed One, Messiah
  • Kurios – Supreme Authority
  • Pneuma – Violent Wind, Breath, Spirit
  • God’s character:
  • Joy

You see them every day, the oh woe is me, people. They complain about everything and have nothing good to say about anything — people, world events, things going on in their lives. You stay away from them because you don’t want their negativity to touch you. You gravitate to people with a positive attitude. No matter what their circumstances, they see happiness in everything.

Solomon saw both kinds of people every day. He saw them in his court as king, and he saw them in the people who worked for him in his vineyards. He knew those with a merry heart trusted JEHOVAH for everything in their lives.

What kind of person are you? With Yeshuwa in your life, do you still complain about everything? Or do you trust Him to take care of you even when things look bad and Satan attacks from every side? Do you read and study your Bible so that when evil comes your way, you have Yeshuwa’s Word in your heart to send him fleeing? Or is your Bible on a shelf and you never open it, or open the downloaded app on your phone? Yeshuwa’s Word will do no good if you don’t open it. Satan will come against you because you have no defense against him.

Psalm 119:11 Your word I have hidden in my heart, that I might not sin against You!

2 Corinthians 10:3 For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war according to the flesh. 4 For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal but mighty in Theos for pulling down strongholds, 5 casting down arguments and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of Theos, bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christos, 6 and being ready to punish all disobedience when your obedience is fulfilled.

Ephesians 6:10 Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Kurios and in the power of His might. 11 Put on the whole armor of Theos, that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. 12 For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in heavenly places. 13 Therefore, take up the whole armor of Theos, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand. 14 Stand therefore, having girded your waist with truth, having put on the breastplate of righteousness, 15 and having shod your feet with the preparation of the gospel of peace; 16 above all, taking the shield of faith with which you will be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked one. 17 And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Pneuma, which is the word of Theos; 18 praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Pneuma, being watchful to this end with all perseverance and supplication for all the saints—

When you have Yeshuwa’s Word firmly planted in your heart, Satan cannot come against you and win. He will try, but the moment you open your mouth with the Word of Theos on your tongue, he will flee.

James 4:7 Therefore, submit to Theos. Resist the devil and he will flee from you. 8 Draw near to Theos and He will draw near to you. Cleanse your hands, you sinners; and purify your hearts, you double-minded.

You belong to Yeshuwa. His joy should be your continual feast and will be when you use His Word every time Satan comes against you.

Let’s pray: Father, let Your Word reside in my heart so that whenever Satan comes against me, it is ready on my lips, and I will see him flee from me. Let Your Word be a continual feast for my lips and in my life. In Jesus’ name, I pray. Amen.
