Day 47 – Life

Proverbs 15:24 The way of life winds upward for the wise, that he may turn away from hell below.

• Theos – Supreme Divinity
• Soter – Savior
• Kurios – Supreme Authority
• Elohiym – Supreme God

• Wisdom

Life is a winding road. You need a steady hand to navigate your way through all the twists and turns in front of you. One wrong turn and it could lead to untold trouble.

Solomon saw life as a winding road. Trust in JEHOVAH led to life while forsaking Him led to hell. When JEHOVAH asked him what He could give him, Solomon asked for wisdom. He soon learned that the way of life led upward for the wise. Upward because when he served JEHOVAH with his whole heart, he knew the path he walked led to eternal life. He also learned that when he strayed from Elohiym, the winding road took a sudden downward turn, leading to hell.

Many people know about Elohiym. They know they want to go to heaven when they die. However, the path they’re walking isn’t the path of life, but the downward path leading to hell. It is only when they change direction by accepting Yeshuwa as Soter and Kurios that they start walking the path of life. When they open their Bible and study Yeshuwa’s Word, then the path in front of them leads upward to eternal life.

Matthew 7:13 “Enter by the narrow gate; for wide is the gate and broad is the way that leads to destruction, and there are many who go in by it. 14 Because narrow is the gate and difficult is the way which leads to life, and there are few who find it. (NKJV)

Knowing about Yeshuwa will not lead to eternal life. It is only when you make the conscious decision to commit your life to Him that you will find the upward path of life that keeps you from hell below.

Yeshuwa told His disciples He was the way to eternal life.

John 14:6 Iesous said to him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Pater except through Me. 7 If you had known Me, you would have known My Pater also; and from now on you know Him and have seen Him.”

2 Jon 1:6 This is love that we walk according to His commandments. This is the commandment that as you have heard from the beginning, you should walk in it.

When you love Yeshuwa, you will walk according to the commandment He gave you. His commandment is to love one another as He loves you.

John 15:10 “If you keep My commandments, you will abide in My love, just as I have kept My Pater’s commandments and abide in His love. 11 These things I have spoken to you, that My joy may remain in you, and that your joy may be full. 12 This is My commandment, that you love one another as I have loved you.

Love will keep you on the path of life. It will also keep you from the path leading to hell. Satan will tempt you. If you remember that greater, is He that is in you than he that is in the world, you won’t allow Satan to lead you on the downward path to hell.

1 John 4:4 You are of Theos, little children, and have overcome them, because He who is in you is greater than he who is in the world.

What path are you following — the upward path of life or the downward path to hell?

Let’s pray: Father, I know I am a sinner. I know I need You and the path leading to eternal life. I give myself to You. Lead me. Show me Your truth so I can walk in it. Be with me on this journey through life and let me know when Satan comes against me to take me from the path that leads to You and eternal life. In Jesus’ name, I pray. Amen.
