Day 53 – Instruction
Proverbs 15:31 The ear that hears the rebukes of life will abide among the wise.32 He who disdains instruction despises his own soul, but he who heeds rebuke gets understanding.
- God’s names:
- Yeshuwa – Jesus
- JEHOVAH – Self-existent, Eternal
- Theos – Supreme Divinity
- God’s character:
- Wisdom
- Understanding
Everyone faces confrontation. It isn’t pleasant, but when you hear and listen to what you hear and do what your instructor told you, you will be in a far better position than the person who walks away and doesn’t listen to what they were told.
Solomon listened to instruction and with understanding penned proverbs to help people understand JEHOVAH’S Word and abide by His law. For those who didn’t heed the instructions found in the proverbs he penned, they walked away heedless of the rebuke that could save their lives.
When you read and study JEHOVAH’S Word, you will see the instructions that will save your life.
2 Timothy 2:15 Be diligent to present yourself approved to Theos, a worker who does not need to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.
2 Timothy 3:16 All Scripture is given by inspiration of Theos, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness, 17 that the man of Theos may be complete, thoroughly equipped for every good work.
Joshua 1:8 “This Book of the Law shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall meditate in it day and night, that you may observe to do according to everything written in it. For then you will make your way prosperous, and then you will have good success.
Psalm 1:1 Blessed is the man who walks not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor stands in the path of sinners, nor sits in the seat of the scornful; 2 but his delight is in the law of JEHOVAH, And in His law he meditates day and night. 3 He will be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that brings forth its fruit in its season, whose leaf also will not wither; and whatever he does will prosper.
Luke 11:28 But He said, “More than that, blessed are those who hear the word of Theos and keep it!”
Revelation 1:3 Blessed is he who reads and those who hear the words of this prophecy, and keep those things which are written in it; for the time is near. (NKJV)
When you said yes to Yeshuwa as Soter and Kurios, you committed your life to obedience and instruction. You won’t learn what Yeshuwa’s Word says, if you don’t open your Bible and read it, study it, and learn from it. Only then will you understand that your life is dependent on Yeshuwa and His Word.
When was the last time you opened Yeshuwa’s Word? Open it today and see what it says and make it part of your daily life. Yeshuwa will bless you when you do. It’s His promise.
Let’s pray: Father, let Your Word sink deep into my soul and refresh me daily as I study it and learn what you want to show me. In Jesus’ name, I pray. Amen.
