One of the things I lose myself in is my writing. I started writing when I was eight. I published my first book in 2012. I published my tenth book two weeks ago.

It’s easy for me to get lost in my writing. I often write for several hours a day, lately it’s been about 12 hours a day.

I need to come up for air once in a while, which is when I am here blogging with you, or I spend an afternoon painting rocks.

This is the rock I painted for Love’s Illusion. I think it turned out okay.

Here are more of my rocks I painted for Christmas.

These are the two activities I spend the majority of my time doing. Both activities require focus. Both give me that sense of accomplishment I don’t find in anything else. Both activities also honor the One who gave me the gifts to write and paint, my God and Savior – Jesus Christ. I couldn’t write or paint without the gifts He gave me.

What activities do you get lost in? Let me know in the comments below. Thanks for reading. The images belong to me.
