Day 61 – God

Proverbs 16:10 Divination is on the lips of the king; his mouth must not transgress in judgment.

• Elohiym – Supreme God
• JEHOVAH – Self-existent, Eternal
• Yeshuwa\Iesous – Jesus
• Theos – Supreme Divinity
• Soter – Savior
• Kurios – Supreme Authority, Lord
• Logos – Word
• Huios – Son
• Adonay – God’s proper name
• Pater – Father
• Hagios Pneuma – Sacred, Holy, Violent Breath, Spirit
• Christos – Anointed One, Messiah

• God’s character:
• Divine
• King
• Judge
• Wisdom
• Grace
• Mercy

People often look at those in authority as having a divine nature and speaking with wisdom in their judgment.

Solomon was a king of great wisdom. His judgment came from Elohiym and considered divine in nature. Because his anointing as king came from JEHOVAH, people accepted that his judgments were from Elohiym. Therefore, Solomon said the king should not abuse his power given to him by JEHOVAH but should consider every word he spoke in judgment.

As Christians, your Melek is JEHOVAH Elohiym. His Word is divine, His laws just, and He is filled with wisdom, grace, and mercy.

JEHOVAH’S names in both Hebrew and Greek embody who He is: His divine nature – Theos; His Supreme Authority – Kurios; Yeshuwa/Iesous our Soter – Savior. He is supreme. He is BASILEUS – KING of Kings and KURIOS – LORD of Lords. He is the Logos – the Word of Theos. He is the Huios of JEHOVAH – the Son of God. He is Adonay – He is God.

Yeshuwa/Iesous is your salvation because He is Adonay

Acts 4:12 “Nor is there salvation in any other, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved.”  (NKJV)

John 10:30 “I and My Pater are one.”

When you read and study JEHOVAH’S Word, His Logos, you see who He is on every page of Scripture. He is divine and because He is divine, the words He gives you when you speak in His name are divine by nature. The word He gives you when you speak come from the Hagios Pneuma and you must never take credit for what He gives you to speak in His name. He is divine. You are not. He is holy. You are not. He is full of grace and truth. You are not. He gives you part His divine nature. You see it on Christians who act within their calling.

There are so many more words that describe who JEHOVAH is and what He came to do. When Yeshuwa told me to do a study on His name and character, I did not expect even half of what I learned and yet I knew because of what others have said that His names are beyond the limits of my understanding. I hope you are coming to know who your Melek and Soter are and that His purpose was to bring salvation to the world so we could live with Him forever.

2 Peter 3:9 The Kurios is not slack concerning His promise, as some count slackness, but is long suffering toward us, not willing that any should perish but that everyone should come to repentance.

John 3:16 “For Theos so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Huios, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.

Do you know Him as Soter and Kurios? Have you acknowledged Him as BASILEUS of Basileus and KURIOS of Kurios? When you stand before Him in judgment will He say to you – Well done good and faithful servant? You have the opportunity right now to accept Him and know that salvation is found in none other than Iesous Christos our Soter and Kurios.

Let’s pray: Father, You are KING of Kings and LORD of Lords. You alone are God and there is no other. Let Your Word be found on my tongue and in my heart as I tell others about You and what You came to do for them. In Jesus’ name, I pray. Amen.
