Day 68 – Wisdom
Proverbs 16:20 He who heeds the word wisely will find good, and whoever trusts in JEHOVAH, happy is he. 21 The wise in heart will be called prudent, and sweetness of the lips increases learning.
- God’s names:
- JEHOVAH/YAHWEH – Self-existent, Eternal
- Yeshuwa/Iesous – Jesus
- Theos – Supreme Divinity
- God’s character:
- Wise
- Good
When were you the happiest as a child? Wasn’t it when you obeyed your parents? Your life was happy and good. You trusted your parents to keep you safe. When you obeyed your parents, they found you to be a wise and respectful child. Your parents called you practical and sweet, and your obedience increased your learning both at home and in the world when you became an adult.
Solomon found the same wisdom when he obeyed YAHWEH. He was a wise king because he trusted YAHWEH to give him the understanding he needed to rule the nation.
As Christians, you are called children. You are still learning what Yeshuwa expects of you. When you study Yeshuwa’s Word, you become wise in your understanding of Scripture. Yeshuwa will pour understanding into your spirit, and other Christians will call you wise and prudent.
2 Timothy 2:15 Be diligent to present yourself approved to Theos, a worker who does not need to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.
Diligence in studying Yeshuwa’s Word gives you wisdom and you see how good it is to be obedient to Him. When you study His Word, you also find your words are pleasant because you trust Him to take care of you.
How does your life show your obedience to Yeshuwa? Does your life show you trust Him? Do your words sound sweet in the ears of those who come to you for wisdom and understanding?
Your life can be wise and practical. You only need to trust Yeshuwa to teach you what you need to learn from His Word.
Let’s pray: Father, give me Your wisdom and understanding. Teach me. Fill my words with the sweetness that comes only from trusting You. In Jesus’ name, I pray. Amen.
