Ask children who their favorite person is and they will tell you it’s their grandparents. Ask grandparents who their favorite person is and they will tell you, their grandchildren. Ask boys who they want to be like when they grow up and they will tell you they want to be like their father.
Solomon had a good example to follow as the son of David who loved Adonay with His whole heart. He wanted to emulate his father, and worship YAHWEH the same as his father. He knew that when fathers trained their children in the ways of JEHOVAH, their lives would be prosperous, and they would be wise sons.
Proverbs 22:6 Train up a child in the way he should go, and when he is old, he will not depart from it.
Solomon was a blessing to his father and the glory of his mother.
Proverbs 1:8 My son, hear the instruction of your father, and do not forsake the law of your mother; 9 for they will be a graceful ornament on your head, and chains about your neck.
When you accepted Yeshuwa as Soter and Kurios, you became His child. When you walk in His path, you find His blessings in your life. When you imitate Him, walking in love as He did people will know you are His child.
Ephesians 5:1 Therefore be imitators of Theos as dear children. 2 And walk in love, as Christos also has loved us and given Himself for us, an offering and a sacrifice to Theos for a sweet-smelling aroma.
2 Corinthians 2:15 For we are to Theos the fragrance of Christos among those who are being saved and among those who are perishing. 16 To the one we are the aroma of death leading to death, and to the other the aroma of life leading to life. And who is sufficient for these things? 17 For we are not, as so many, peddling the word of Theos; but as of sincerity, but as from Theos, we speak in the sight of Theos in Christos.
When you imitate Yeshuwa, you become like Him.
Philippians 2:1 Therefore if there is any consolation in Christos, if any comfort of love, if any fellowship of the Pneuma, if any affection and mercy, 2 fulfill my joy by being like-minded, having the same love, being of one accord, of one mind. 3 Let nothing be done through selfish ambition or conceit, but in lowliness of mind let each esteem others better than himself. 4 Let each of you look out not only for his own interests, but also for the interests of others. 5 Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christos Iesous, 6 who, being in the form of Theos, did not consider it robbery to be equal with Theos, 7 but made Himself of no reputation, taking the form of a bondservant, and coming in the likeness of men. 8 And being found in appearance as a man, He humbled Himself and became obedient to the point of death, even the death of the cross. 9 Therefore, Theos also has highly exalted Him and given Him the name which is above every name, 10 that at the name of Iesous every knee should bow, of those in heaven, and of those on earth, and of those under the earth, 11 and that every tongue should confess that Iesous Christos is Kurios, to the glory of Theos the Pater.
When you as children of Yeshuwa, do those things which edify and lift Him up, you bring blessings on yourself and glory to your Pater.
Let’s pray: Father, I want to imitate You in everything I say and do. I want to show the world who my Savior and Lord is when I bring glory to You. Let Your love shine through me so the world will know I am Yours and bring You glory. In Jesus’ name, I pray. Amen.
