My name is Valerie Jean Routhieaux. Welcome to your next adventure.

I grew up in a small town in Wisconsin before I joined the Navy, got married, had children, and moved to Green Bay, Wisconsin where I have lived since 1990.

I am the mother of three adult children, six grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren.

I became a born-again Christian in 1980 before I started my writing journey.

My writing journey started when I was eight years old. I started on the road to publishing in 1980. I published my first book, Scarred in 2012.

In the thirty-two years between starting my publishing journey and being published, I learned everything I could and took a course from The Institute of Children’s Literature. I graduated in 2006. Since publishing Scarred in 2012, I self-published eight more novels. I have a four-book historical series. Colonial America Series: Scarred, Manifest Destiny, Stowaway, and Freedom’s Cry. I have a two-book mystery series. Island Paradise Series: Thread of Evidence and Vendetta. I also have three stand alone books: Legacy, Where Eagles Soar, and Destination Love.

I write Christian fiction and give God the glory for everything I write. I am the pen in His hand.
