Happy Veterans Day to all those who served.

I woke up excited this morning, which also meant I was awake early, 2 AM. I have the Bible study done and posted, went through my e-mails and replied to your posts.

My excitement this morning might be because I’m moving and hope I hear from the manager where I’ll be moving to soon. I need to get the ball rolling on that end. When I talked to her last they had three apartments available. I need ICS ( Housing) to work with me. I filled the paperwork out a month ago. They send the list of potential renters to the management. I understood from the manager they get the list once a month. So, I’ve been packing and waiting for the phone call so I can choose my apartment and start moving.

Yesterday, I got the last piece of the puzzle for my move taken care of. I don’t have a car, so getting to church from my new location was a concern. No longer. I found someone who lives close by who will gladly give me a ride to church on Sundays. God has orchestrated this entire move. Now, I need to hear from the manager.

Today, I’ll be going to Mission BBQ for a free sandwich and cake for Veterans. Yesterday when I was there with a group from church, they asked if they could honor me today when I told them I would be back today. I’ll be going with my neighbor also a Veteran. I felt honored by the request and with hesitation said yes. We need to arrive by noon. They’ll play the National Anthem and then do the honors.

Today I’ll continue packing for my move. I want to be ready when I get the phone call.
