Share five things you’re good at.

Five things I’m good at. Let’s see if there are five.

  1. I’m a good seamstress. Though I haven’t done any sewing in a long time. When my children were young, I spent much time on the sewing machine. I even sewed for others.
  2. I’m a good cook and baker. I love to cook. I know people who won’t go near the kitchen and go out to eat often. However, I still cook like I have a family living with me, though I’m single and retired. I also love to bake. Being on a diet, I haven’t done a lot of that in a while, but I still bring out the cookbook or my memory and make delectible treats fresh from the oven on special occasions.
  3. I’m a good friend. I try to be friendly and helpful to everyone I meet. When people see me, the first thing they notice is my smile. Then they notice I will help when they ask me. Living in this senior community, people asked me to watch their dogs when they will be gone for an extended time. One person even gave me her apartment key. I take care of my neighbor’s dog every Friday night as she spends the night with her elderly sister. I don’t only dog sit, I help when people ask in anything I can.
  4. I’m good at turning negatives into positives. I also bring out the smiles in others.
  5. I’m a good writer. At least I hope so with nine books published. I’ve had a pen or pencil in my hands since I was eight years old. I filled many notebooks with stories. Some are lost to time, however, those stories I got onto the computer, are still there waiting for me to finish them.

Everything I do and everything I am, I am because of my relationship with Jesus Christ. Every word I write, every friend I make, everything I cook, everything I do, I do with the help of the Holy Spirit in my life. I am nothing without Him and everything with Him.

I would love to know what you’re good at. Please comment below. Thank you for reading.

Remember when we writers had big bumps on our middle fingers from holding the pen?
