Good afternoon. The sun is shining, the sky is partly cloudy, and the temperature in Green Bay, Wisconsin, USA is 46 F. A truly mild day as we wind down winter and head into spring. Oh woe is me for another winter with very little snow. 😟

Still I have much to be thankful for. The first thing is that I finally finished reading a post here that took me three hours. Now, I love history a lot, so I didn’t mind, but I had other things to do while I read, so those three hours are only the time I read the post, not the six hours I also needed to do other things in the meantime.

I’m thankful for Bible study today. I know I’m not a Bible scholar, even though I have my post here for people to read. Yet, I learned more than I expected, not a boast, an admission that I don’t know it all and I’m teachable. I had an epiphany moment as I connected dots I didn’t know needed connecting. It was awesome!

I’m also thankful I found an emoji site so I can copy and paste emojis to my heart’s content. 😀

I’m thankful I only have one more round of steps on the hallway and I’m done with the Fitbit goals for today. So, I might get up from my seat before I post this to get those last steps for the day. In fact, I need to do that now. Be right back. Okay, I’m back, the rest of the night belongs to me not my walking apps. 🥳

I’m thankful for food. I started charting my food on the Fitbit app. I need to lose weight. I’ve gained 10 pounds of water weight in the last few weeks. I need it to come off by next Thursday when I have my wellness check with my doctor and my hospital appointment for my six-week infusion. Five weeks ago I was at a low. I want to get there again. You might ask what I did to gain all this water weight. I’ll tell you. I don’t eat a lot of sweets or junk food and I purposed not to do so for these six weeks. When you purpose not to for whatever reason, you find people handing you such food hand over fist. So, though I kept it to a minimum, I still gained the water weight. My plan – drink a pot of tea a day, drink a lot of water. and keep my food intake to a minimum. Yes, I’m on a diet plan. I follow the blood type diet. I’ve lost a lot of weight with it and I need to keep that weight off and continue to lose. One thing I don’t consider sweets or junk food is dark chocolate. It’s essential to brain and heart health and loaded with antioxidants, so that is the only thing I buy, my Dove Dark Chocolate Promise.

Okay, that’s my day so far. I still have prayer in 45 minutes in the upstairs lounge, then it’s TV until bedtime. I need to go to bed earlier. I’m getting up far too late in the morning. It’s going on 6 AM when I open my eyes. Eyes that used to open at 2:30 to 3 AM. to start the day. I also need to work on Firestorm and will do that now before I head upstairs.

What are you thankful for today? I’d love to hear it in the comments. Thanks for reading. The image belongs to me.

A lovely, thankful post, Valerie. I’m so thankful for the Bible. I’m slowly making my way through the Old Testament and I finished the book of Numbers today. So many good life lessons there. After a six week writing break, I managed to get 2500 words down today, the opening of a new story I am writing. And I got a new/used kitchen table that I love!

I’m so happy you’re working your way through the Bible. Lots of important lessons to be had there.

I saw your table. It’s lovely.

Good for you starting a new story. 👍
